If somebody had a cardiac event at my office and subsequently died, the boss might send everyone home for the day and say a few words the next morning. Then we’d get back to work.

He needed to get covid and then the office would shut down for weeks

Well that settles it then, we should all live our lives in the exact same manner that we assume MDC's employer would.

Basically every employer. :dunno:

They were correct numbers.

For getting myocarditis at all.  Not for having up your heart stop after a collision

You think everyone that gets myocarditis will have their heart stop if they get tackled at any point after their diagnosis?

42 minutes ago, Ultra Max Power said:

No, but there was a study that shows myocarditis may increase the risk of an adverse cardic event in contact sports. Probably something the NFL needs to start looking at seriously.

Question.

Who didn't want to play Monday night after the hit? Bills or Bungles?

Bills/McSquirmy asked to not play. Bills forfeit. NEXT!!

McSquirmy knew they were already getting their asses kicked. of course he didn't want to continue the bloodbath

Kind of makes you wonder if Hamlin is a crisis actor. 🤔

The Bills should be kicked out of the NFL.  Any NFL team that refuses to play games probably sucks d's.

pretty sure any team that refuses to play should forfeit. if it happens again, we can discuss moving them to the USFL

I think if he had died people wouldn’t be as disappointed that the game didn’t continue. Let’s be happy the NFL showed some sensitivity. I didn’t even want to play FF after seeing him go down like that. In fact it made me question whether the sport should continue.

I’m pretty sure mine would cart their dead ass out and have somebody else in the chair by 2

100%.  my office is 3 floors, good chance we don't even know about it.  Unless it's covid, then everyone goes home and the office is fumigated.

NFL owners approved a resolution Friday during a Special League Meeting to potentially adjust the AFC postseason, including possibly playing a conference championship game at a neutral site, the league announced on Friday.

Bengals executive vice president Katie Blackburn is on the competition committee, which approved the scenarios Thursday. In a memo obtained by ESPN's Seth Wickersham, Blackburn urged teams to vote against the scenarios. Her reasoning stemmed from the timing of a rule change away from the standard of winning percentages used in this scenario.

"The proper process for making rule change is in the off-season," Blackburn wrote. "It is not appropriate to put teams in a position to vote for something that may introduce bias, favor one team over another or impact their own situation when the vote takes place immediately before the playoffs."

100%.  One of my pet peeves - changing the rules in the middle of the game (season).

Looks like the Bengals are the ones getting screwed the most.

More people have died in Amazon warehouses then NFL stadiums and practice fields. Maybe cancel your prime subscription.

Teams not directly affected by this should have had no say. That’s the whole NFC amd anyone eliminated.

People were shot in Chicago last night.  Where's the outrage?  Why isn't the NFL voting on that?  Nothing?

Because white college girls and black athletes are more important.

When the league decided to cancel the game it should have owned that decision and said the standings are what they are without the Bills-Bengals game. Now they’re going to find a way to screw 4 teams instead of 2.

Heckuva job NFL.

Those white college girls got murdered and the NFL never missed a down.  I never got a day off work.  This is ridiculous.

Those white girls and this black athlete were the top two stories in the national news most nights this week.   You have to go searching to find how out how many dozens of poor black people get murdered in Chicago every weekend.  It's not hard to see where the importance is.

Exactly.  Josh Allen being hurt as well probably went into the decision.

Dumb.  Maybe we should get rid of air travel too then:

No kidding, at an Amazon warehouse here in town, some 61-year-old dude had a massive heart attack 5 minutes before his shift was over. Drop Like a Stone right there on a floor. They cured him with boxes and had employees as close as 10 feet from him just keep working.

Wilks will finish 6-6 if he wins.  Have nothing to play for except a worse draft position so of course they will win.
