I took the Etienne gamble because I felt Jacksonville would win and everyone was taking Ekeler. Seemed like a chance to get an extra game from one of my backs and be contrarian.

was looking absolutely terrible 2 Ekeler TDs and 27-0 later lol

now it possibly paid off

Etienne did OK, but not great. They really spread the ball around. Engram looking like the best Jacksonville selection so far

Obviously Engram was the best non QB Jag last night but I never really considered him at TE. Certainly the few who took him got a boost.

but in terms of RBs, Etienne scored 11 to Ekelers 15 and 12 teams have lost an RB. The hope is Etienne can at least add another 11 or more in round 2.

I know it is early but @shorepatrol with Purdy and Engram (and Ekeler) had a great day yesterday.

I really love this playoff format. You can feel totally out of it after one day or one weekend but some people may have had 4 going on day 1 while others had 2. Some may have lost a bigger name like Ekeler and some may have lost just a kicker, like Myers, which they were planning on. It will get even more interesting if certain QBs start to drop earlier than anticipated. Brock Purdy could be a hell of a difference maker

Yeah, was probably an overall not great day for many of the Ekeler owners

Yup. I’m still skeptical Purdy will be that big of a difference maker, but mostly just because I think I’d rather have McCaffrey. As long as he doesn’t get hurt.

in a non PPR format, as long as San Fran continues to move on, Purdy should be the most valuable player on that offense in terms of this game. Unless they get a low scoring game where they really pound the rock with CMC and Mitchell.

Im really not sure why I switched my tie breaker from Burrow to CMC. I guess I have a little more faith in SF coming out of the NFC. But if the super bowl is, say Cincy vs. SF, I wont be winning any tie breaker.

👍

I think it is fair to think the 49ers/purdy should get several games in, but more realistic projections were around 240/2 for purdy. That large upside deviation could make a big difference.

In my non-PPR league, McCaffrey had been outscoring Purdy pretty consistently. Even if that changes, it will also depend on how the other QB’s and WR’s do. The total between McCaffrey/whoever could still be better than Purdy/whoever

I'm very happy to come out of the gate swinging. But that Flipper team looks like the team to beat after week 1.

Good luck everyone

@WhiteWonder

Went to look at the rosters (yeah I know you have them in this thread, but I like looking at the website) and it has:

League settings prevent roster report for <team> from being viewed.

Any chance you could change the settings to make it read only for the ones that didn't participate please?

As the only team to have 8 players left, no kickers and no defenses, I would agree. Flipper has the early theoretical lead. Of course kickers and defenses can have 15+ point games and in reality it's going to be more about who has the correct QB combo or a positional player that goes off, etc. So it's still very wide open

sure, ill go take a look now if you know exactly where to change that, please let me know.

I think live scoring is available and I just assumed everyone could see each teams scores and players via that.

I will try to remember... I haven't been a commissioner at MFL since 2016, when I quit playing fantasy football and the league folded...

But live scoring should work if you can't find it... Thanks...

im not seeing anything at the moment. I dislike MFL.

The only person actually IN the league is me. I didn't invite all the participants to log in / claim their individual teams. I simply loaded all the rosters and set up the scoring and stuff. So the people participating should see the same stuff that you or anyone else can see.

https://www73.myfantasyleague.com/2022/ajax_ls?L=42240

If you click that link do you see the standings and can you click on each team to see their rosters?

https://www73.myfantasyleague.com/2022/options?L=42240&O=07

or this link for rosters?

Well, I want the participants to be able to see the rosters too if possible.

So you can see the live scoring? Does it just show you the scores or does it show you the players and breakdown of points scored?

Last year there was initially an issue where people couldnt see the live scoring and I was able to fix that but no one ever mentioned if they could see the rosters on that live scoring page

good enough for me. Im sure there is a way to make Report>Franchise>Rosters visible to everyone but i'm not going to kill myself trying to find it and certainly wasn't getting everyones e-mails and sending league invites.

Visible live scoring is all that matters.

My dumb ass must have been seriously distracted or drunk when I made my picks, because I intended to put in McCaffrey instead of Mitchell.

WTF?
