there were actually two bills. One condemned harassing anti-abortion places. I have no problem with that though they should have included Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics as well. Nobody deserves to be harassed. 

The other bill attempts to save fetuses that are still alive after an abortion procedure. This is an extremely rare occurrence. But I’m opposed. I don’t want the federal government instructing doctors what to do unless there is a public health concern (like Covid). Period. 

In any event neither bill is going anywhere so waste of time and money.

I believe a woman has a right to choose, to a point. The laws banning abortion once a heartbeat is detected are absolutely barbaric. This is what we have in Texas. If dad knocks up a 12-year-old, and her fear, ignorance and shame result in her hiding the pregnancy past the point of heartbeat detection, she's required to have that baby, even though she was raped, she could die in childbirth and the horribly deformed baby wouldn't live outside the womb.

This isn't a very "very" position. It's a moderate and most reasonable one.
