Lamar Jackson and Daniel Jones want HOW much?

The DJ deal, it's $82M the first two years, and after year 3, they can cut him for a $9M dead money hit.  They can also extend him and push the cap out longer if he's a stud.

It's a win/win, and hilarious to see the dummies that don't know football mock it.

Ease up saying he was great this year. He was better. He’s heading in the right direction, and wit help he can do more. But there is no greatness there. Very good is the upside.

I'm not angry, I'm happy that we signed him.  Love DJ, love this team.

The Chicago bears in 103 years of football, have never had a 4000+ yard passer in a season :o

This is still an amazing stat...  Make one wonder when they actually might have a 4,000 yard passer...

    That is what matters.

I am not happy with the Patriots, I hate the QB, I hate the coach.  So unlikeable.

There's no doubt... he won't be a Giant in 2025.  He's getting cut after the 2024 season.  I know this, because he stinks.

I am not a DJ fan but he was better this year and can be developed- I think the $$ is insane but there really wasn’t many other options. When I first heard 45 million I thought he’d never even get close to that. I was wrong.

The AAV of the contract is about 37 mill. Anyone that thinks that’s an outrageous overpay doesn’t know what they are talking about. It’s a little more than he should probably get, but when you factor in it allows them to keep Barkley it’s fine. If they held out for less they lose Barkley.  Also, buckle up. Wait till you see what greatness is going to cost soon.

Jeez way to much angst towards a player that’s not on your team. You sound like an idiot. Just saying.

Your post has way more anger in it than mine.  All I said was that I think the Giants screwed up because on his best day, he's not a top 20 QB.  I was told to list them.  I think I listed 24.  Turdboy got angry with me because I said Jones isn't good.  Not my fault.

You listed rookies. You don’t even know what team they will be on. Your list is dismissed.

That's how bad Jones is.  It's not my fault.

Yeah but you said it like 10+ times. I only called you out once.
Let’s review that “list” late next January

I only said it to one person in replies made to me.  I never quoted anyone else unless they quoted me.  Sure, let's see next January.  🙄

Right now Jones is 9th in aav. With Lamar, Herbert, Burrow on deck. He’ll be 12th this year, and beyond 15th before you know it. That’s just about right.

Not angry.  You are either trolling, or you know nothing about football.  Either way, your opinion is meaningless.  So I'm fine.

You’ll excuse me if I don’t take a Buccaneers fan evaluation of QB’s with much regard.  You don’t know what a good one looks like. Unless he shows up with six rings already.

Because I am a Bucs fan and our history of QB's, you should look to me as an expert in the field of what a bad QB looks like.

Well, considering I’ve seen 4 different QB’s make the SB with the Giants and three of them win it, I think I know if a qB can get there. Seen it a bunch.

Is Dan Jones overpaid for what he has shown thus far? Yeah.  Is it a terrible contract?  Not necessarily.   I mean if you think he just never improves again it is.  He could turn out to be pretty meh.  But both can be true.  What if they get him an actual WR and hr improves again? Then next year as prices go up it looks pretty ok.

Unless you are of the thought that every team should just dump any QB who isn't elite after their first contract then it just isn't feasible.    And it isn't feasible for GMs and coaches trying to keep jobs.

It was his first year with Daboll and they had one of the worst recieving corps in the league.  So I am of the thought yea thus far he has shown minimal but took a step in the right direction with a good coach and no wrs.  I think he definitely could improve a level or a from last season.

Some owner will lose his mind and give up the two 1st round picks & pay him $300 mill guaranteed.  Guaranteed!!

Lamar wouldn't be able to keep up.  That's why he needs an agent

I don't think a team will do the two 1sts unless they are able to sign an offer that isn't what he is asking for.   It is Colts and no one else really.

Can teams take the tag off players?  I don't know why the Ravens would even if they could.

Can't they basically do anything under the terms of a contract?

And when does not finishing playing out a year become a trend for Jackson?

The guy is a head case just needing more money than the next guy instead of just taking a bunch of money and being rich forever and playing football care free. The whole "disrespect" thing has poisoned the minds of some of these black players.

I wouldn't want the guy if I was a coach or owner, They guy probably could have played in the playoffs but set out cause he is all about him and the money. The injuries are starting to add up now as well and he is not a top 10 QB anymore. As a Steeler fan I hope the Ravens are stuck with him.

Good call. They should have beat the Bungles too. That fumble return for TD at the 1 was focking horrific.  Lamar in that game they have a real good chance of winning

Yea I agree they do win that game if Lamar was in. Huntley doesn't seem that bright.

The NFC is so weak. And now they lost Brady and Rodgers. Jackson needs to get to an NFC team. Atlanta needs to get in on it. They win that division with him. Take it from there.

Derek Carr was no dummy. Staying in the NFC was brilliant. OF course Afraud will go to the AFC, cause he's a selfish loser that doesn't care about winning.

Brady & Rodgers weren't exactly juggernauts that last couple years. They were pretty bad last season.
