Lamar Jackson and Daniel Jones want HOW much?

Remember when the Chiefs paid Mahomes half a billion dollars

It has been 3 years, he has been paid about 55 million so far.  Only 141 million is guaranteed.

Only good QBs like Watson, Murray and Wilson get guaranteed contracts.  What a completely racist list by the way. White QBS should be pissed.

I had Tiki Barber on my fantasy team in 2004.

that must have been after he fumbled every other snap.

High and tight.

Jerrah isn't the owner so unlikely.

NY burned the 2nd overall pick in the draft on a RB………Don’t fool yourself, they’re more than capable of doing something stupid up there too.

NY has the right GM and coach now. Unfortunately their QB and best player on O are holdovers from the last regime and neither one of them should be re-signed. Gettleman really focked that team and their entire rebuild timeline.

For sure…. but I’d still rather be in their position than what Dallas has. NY has options and a path to rebuild. Here, we’re STUCK with Dak for at least 4 years - then if we bail out from that, will still need a qb.

Philly has 1 more year to enjoy the ride. 2024 is near and Hurts will be free, be ready to pony up $50m a year if you want to keep him.

Too bad Pollard went down too - now you're going to be stuck with Elliot again.

No it's over, they lost both coordinators and are in the process of losing a ton of talent.  That franchise is focked.

I think Dallas was among maybe 6 teams that legitimately could have won a SB last year. They have a few needs but bad coaching seems to be the biggest issue. McCarthy sucks.

Pollard getting hurt in that game sunk them. I agree they had just as good chance as the other teams till that happened.

No the real tragedy was having Pollard on this team all this time and the front office just now realizing how explosive and valuable he is…. Pollard will be back, the issue is whether or not he gets tagged or let go. I’d rather pay him $10m for 1 year than Zeke $12m…. I’d tag Pollard and draft his replacement in the draft.

They had a 3-4 week stretch where they could have beaten anyone. Dallas was one of 3 NFC teams that had a shot. It didn’t work out, but they’re still in a better spot than 75% of the league.

Coordinators have proven to be replaceable when there’s talent. Will have to see how much they lose - bcoz the pieces are there to still be powerful.

After that Super Bowl I’m not too worried about losing Gannon!

They have the tenth pick in the draft plus their own.  Slow your roll fella.

Neither one deserves a long term deal.  If I were the GM of either team, my #1 priority is to sign Carr... then I'd let the guy I had walk.  I'll take the 3rd round comp pick next year, thanks.

The legal problems should have been enough alone to stay away. This maybe the worse trade in NFL history... Change that thought it is the worse already and they must have sh!t for brains!

Three 1st round picks and $230m guaranteed for a QB who’d been out of the game for a year and was PR disaster at best, serious legal risk at worst.

Browns gonna Brown.

Worse trade was the Packers trade for John Hadl.

Second worse was the Vikings trading for Herschel Walker.

Yea that Vikings one built the Cowboys a dynasty, not sure this one will for Houston but should sink the Browns for years.

Worst pick ever, the Bears trading a second round pick for Chase Cesspool 😂

As a Steeler fan I'm glad for the trade but still not sure Claypool won't shine in a year or so if he has a decent qb.

And the Packers one sunk them for more than a decade.

Still, I always thought the Cowboys owed Mike Lynn a ring since he did more to build that 90's dynasty than did Jones, Johnson, Aikman, or Smith.

The Giants traded their #1 pick in 1975  (#2 overall) to the cowboys for Craig Morton.  The cowboys then used that draft pick to select Randy White. Randy White went to the HOF and Craig Morton went to Denver. Ouch.

I can see D. Jones getting in the 35 mil a year range.

Lamar should 40+ on a team friendly contract down the line.  I don't think Lamar lasts long in this league.

IMO, that's about 20-25 million too much for Mediocre Man.

I don't disagree, but I was blown away by the difference in starting QB salaries.  A player is either in that top tier range or on a rookie deal.  Not much in between.

It puts Jones are par with Kirk Cousins / Jared Goff which is probably fair market value.

For sure.  Even though that is what the market is for a middling QB, that is still an AWFUL lot of wasted money.

I like Vanilla Vick. But not for 45 million. He has cut his turnovers steadily and significantly since his first year and upped his completion pct. But to be fair, a lot of it is dink and dunk due to the Giants having no down field threat. He was also sacked 40+ times. Some on him, most on the line.

Danny isn’t getting $45m/per and he knows it. That’s an agent trying to set the bar high. He may get something along the lines of 3-4 years at $35m per. Giants would be wise to either tag him or let him walk. I get that DJ hasn’t been in a good situation. But if you don’t know whether a QB is the guy after 4 years, he’s not the guy.

Hah!  It's unfortunate, but he's not going to last long.  Maybe another year or two, but he's going to be out of the NFL after that.  He's just not built for it.  TBH, he should seriously think about retirement now.

Tua is done, he'll never play again. He's got an egg shell head and the Eagles have the better Alabama QB
