A - It's the new lib rallying cry.  The protester groups have hung on to homeless rights now that BLM has faded.

B - Many of these cities put millions towards supporting the homeless in the exact wrong way.

What is the right way?

I have no preference on where you live. I see a lot of people in situations similar to yours make a lot of comments on what those demonic Dems have done to our cities. How does a well-off white guy living on Hilton Head know so much about how horrible California is? You know what your right-wing media of choice tells you, which you take as truth, while proselytizing about how brainwashed liberals are, living in their little liberal bubbles. I would guess HH is a pretty nice little bubble for the moneyed white conservative. Am I wrong?

What's wrong with choosing a nice place to live over a shlthole? And just because you have never been out of the city you were popped out in doesn't mean others haven't been around. I myself have lived in 10 different states, numerous more cities, and lived in Canada. Plus I've worked extensively and paid taxes in another additional 7-8 states. You idiot liberals think people who live in nice places as adults have never seen the country simply because you have pigeon-holed yourselves in life.

Surely you're not saying we have the resources
To save the poor from their lot?
There will be poor always, pathetically struggling
Look at the good things we've got!
Think while you still have me
Move while you still see me
You'll be lost, you'll be so, so sorry when I'm gone

Such great lyrics. And of course Ian’s version from the original soundtrack is the best of all time.

Can we solve mentally ill homeless people first? Get them off the streets and into a safe environment? I think a reasonable approach could get it done.  Unfortunately it’s the left that is unreasonable on the issue.

11 Great Reasons To Stay In California
https://babylonbee.com/news/11-great-reasons-to-stay-in-california

  1. Zillow estimates your cardboard box house will be worth $3 million in just a few years - Hoooold - HOOOOOLD!!!
  2. If you identify as black you have a decent chance of scoring millions in reparations soon - Pull a Rachel Dolezal and you can be cashing in big time any day now.
  3. There are beautiful natural sights like the warm glow of forest fires lighting up the skies - We call them "the golden lights," and they're magnificent.
  4. Everyone will be gone soon and then there will be no lines at Disneyland - You'll have to push the button to start up the tea cups yourself, but no more waiting!
  5. Everything at CVS is free - Even better than no waiting - no paying for anything!
  6. When you pay your massive state tax bill, you get a sense of satisfaction that you're supporting some hobo's fentanyl addiction - No amount of money saved can make up for that feeling.
  7. Law-abiding citizens don't have guns, so there is never any crime -It's science.
  8. There's great weather outside of fire season, drought season, and deadly mudslide season - There are three days in April without fires, droughts, or mudslides. Enjoy them.
  9. You can ski and surf on the same day, even though you haven't done either in years - But you can be smug in the knowledge that you could if you really wanted to. (But you don't). (But you could).
  10. You can go camping right on the sidewalk - No permit required.
  11. Best of all, the government will make all your decisions for you -This is maybe the best reason to stick around: you won't be burdened with pesky concepts like "liberty" and "personal responsibility." Good ol' Gavin will take care of ya.

There’s no incentive when the people hired to solve the problem like this alphabet person, receive a massive taxpayer funded salary. California spends 3 billion a year on homelessness. This sh!tlib will make more in retirement pension benefits than most people in the private sector make in their lifetimes.

well since you like the commies, the USSR just made a law that created a right to housing.  That eradicated the homeless problem in that the media then refused to report on all the homeless on the streets, and many homeless were just sent to labor camps.  So that would be your solution.

its yours.  you view homelessness as a weapon.  if more political power is needed, play up the homeless crisis until democrats get elected.  if you already hold power, ignore it.  its the same trick used with racism, gun crime, riots, etc.  you care about none of these issues.  you hate the poor and view them as pawns.

CA has spent $20 billion on homelessness in the last 5 years.

The CA homeless problem is growing 15 times faster than the rest of the nation.

This is Gavin Newsom's idea for America. Think about that when he runs. He doesn't give a shiite about you, the homeless or even his own wife that he keeps cheating on.

Even if they caught him, he'd be let out tonight. If she tried to beat him up and punched him, she'd be the one charged with assault.

Exactly. That's why you see more and more crimes committed in broad daylight. They'll be back on the streets in hours if caught.

Sacramento city mayor (Steinberg) says that the city needs to add more climate change items to the agenda. He used words like "Global Boiling" as opposed to global warming. He also made a big deal about "Hurricanes in California?!" and all of that.

Said that in order for these climate change issues to be addressed, ballot measures needed to be added....because the only way to pay for this (to SAVE US ALL) is by........INCREASING TAXES.

I am of the mind that if you vote YES on something that increases taxes, then YOU should be taxed, not those who voted NO.

I need to read up on this a bit more. I would like to see how liberals are reframing this as being someone elses fault.....
