Well, they put a best by date on it. If I own a distributor I’m telling them to take that shite back.  I won’t buy beer with a soon  expiring date. I don’t drink enough of it and it can sit a while. But selling it for 41 cents a can should keep them afloat.  Lol.

The date is the canned/bottled date, not the expiration date.  You're not a beer guy.

Coors-Miller Lite has filled the vacuum.   Sales of Coors-Miller Lite products up 19% last month which is unheard of at any time of year.  A 1-3% market share gain is considered to be very successful.

Those trends are difficult to reverse once a brand starts falling.

Looks like AB originally used the "born on" date but switched to "best before" awhile back.  I think a good indication of freshness is if the piss beer still feels a bit warm.

https://preparedcooks.com/does-bud-light-expire/

How Do You Read the Bud Light Expiration Code?

The expiration code on the bottom of your Bud Light can is a “freshest before” date. A typical Bud Light expiration code looks like this: 09DEC19. Here’s how to break it down:

The first two digits represent the day of the month. In this case, it is the 9th.

The first three letters indicate the month. Here, it is December.

The last two digits are the year. This Bud Light expired in 2019.

If the can of Bud Light you’re looking at is older, the expiration date on it may be a “born on” label, which A-B introduced back in 1996. This label indicates the beer’s production date rather than its expiration date.

In August 2015, A-B swapped the “born on” label out for the “freshest before” date used today. If your Bud Light is old enough to have a “born on” label, it is well beyond the recommended 110 days. While the beer itself is no good, its container serves as a reminder of a different time.

Nothing like switching to a different brand that supports the same community.  These people are not very bright.

They don’t get it.  It’s not about supporting some “community” .  It’s the in your face forced to use pronouns, dancing for kids, porn in school books, drag shows with kids nonsense.

This Dylan person is playing dress up acting like a 13 year old girl. It’s fake and insulting to women.

How did Bud Light shove tranny stuff in your face?  The only one's I see shoving tranny stuff in anyone's face is the media.

There was a protest? I think you have them confused with the freaks that want to talk to kids about sex and mostly peaceful reparations looting.

I'm talking about things in general, not just the people upset by Bud Light.

Tells you how long it's been since I bought an AB product.

On everything I drink, they put a canned date so you know how old it is.

In the week that ended April 22, the brand’s in-store sales plummeted more than 26%, according to figures reported by Bump Williams Consulting, a Connecticut-based firm that specializes in the alcoholic beverage industry.

I am a little suprrised by this, I had expected to see some cessation of this.  But it appears to be only getting worse for Budweiser.  I guess the question for us now is do they cave to the consumer and apologize for their actions or do they continue to try to ride it out?  I think they might be damaging their brand more than I had first anticipated.

Do you remember when Bud advertised their "Born On" date. They wanted to compete with the idea of freshness.  Of course the born on date was after it was beechwood aged so aging was good too, as was their then declaration of freshness.  Me, keep it in a dark bottle, keep it cool if not actually refrigerated, and keep it out of direct sunlight and it should be good for 4 or 5 months.

I remember when Heineken gained a foothold back in the 70's.  Not bad, but occassionally you would get one that had really skunked out.

It's one thing that a company doesn't overtly shun a group of people because of who they want to sleep with and therefore increase profits in their company. It's a totally different thing for a company to use their brand to present mental illness and certain grooming practices as normal and make it the face of their company.

Bud Light can fock off. Hope they go under because of this.

Anyone that would say anything about someone drinking that piss should be immediately dismissed. Unless we’re friends. Then the ball busting begins. It’s like wearing Crocs.

I detest crocs.

Are we not friends? :(

I prefer Coors Light over Bud Light, but had like 7 white claws at golf last night with 2 fireballs

I guess that's one way to interpret their marketing.

You are obviously drinking Bud Light for political reasons. Otherwise you wouldn’t have posted that you are drinking BL today

Yeah I remember the born on date marketing campaign, didn't know they abandoned it.

Depends on the style of beer.  I would venture to guess that American Adjunct lagers will taste the same for several years.

I have some stouts and Belgians that are years old.  The only beers that I make sure I drink fresh are IPAs, and even an IPA in a can that doesn't get too warm will be fine for 3 months.

My kid will be 10 in August. I would say half the kids in his class wear crocs year round. He has not once asked me for crocs.

Just bought him a $6o pair of Pumas.

I raised him right.

I'm finding out that we have some very picky people here.  I'm not all that picky when it comes to drinking.  I definitely have my preferences but I'll drink whatever is available.

I’ll tell you what, if a friend of mine was drinking BL and I started ball busting and he said “41 cents a can” I’d say cheers! You win!
