I have 0 problem with people doing this stuff, I just mostly find it silly for reasons that Hawkeye just highlighted - it's mostly people upset about the 1-2 brands that people are blabbing about on Fox or SM, but ignoring the dozens of other brands that do the same thing but they still use.   There is so much of this stuff going on you might as well live like a hermit and buy nothing or just admit that these companies largely DGAF about the political stuff, and are just getting their name out there in a way they think will get eyes and $.

I said before- it's the performative nature of it all that is most annoying. If you don't want to buy Bud Light or Aunt Jemima or whatever for whatever stupid reason you've concocted- fine. But today it is "I have to go on TikTok and make a video to send out to my followers so they can go into places and make videos and beg for clicks and likes." It isn't "boycotting" for a cause. It's boycotting for clicks.

It is easy. I stopped using Gillette products entirely, and my kids are following suit.  They see what I do and also do the same. So the company did not merely lose me, but may have lost a couple generations. So the impact of their actions to play games with societal stuff might have a wider footprint. Same for Nike, I will not buy anything associated with them, if it can be avoided. 

When a company decides to wade into the poltical morass, regardless of why, they assume this risk. 

Bud Light is just one piece of a much larger entity, they can ride this out. It would seem that they do not care as well I might note, they are trying to unwind the egregious nature of their violations, but we all know what happens when you try to tread the middle....
