A valid way to judge a company's performance is to compare them to their peers.  Everybody in the sector is above their pre-covid levels, even Netflix who has has been on some really hard times.  DIS is still down 30%+ from those levels.  Any way you slice it you are and were better off with almost any other company in your portfolio than DIS in their sector.

Yeah but there's like 8 billion hotels within a 10 minute radius though, you should be able to get a room for under $300 at a decent hotel.

But yeah you're probably not far off at $10k for a whole week for a family of 4 though.

Well, that's because there ISN'T anything wrong with what she said.  Which is why I said we were just making fun of her.  There was a time when we, in good nature, made fun of people.  I can get why people wouldn't think we would extend that courtesy to her considering how we're lambasting their ad campaign, but I assure you that's all it is - good natured ribbing.

1) I'm not a school teacher.

2) They didn't lose $5B.  The discussion here is market cap.  Market cap = Share Price * Outstanding shares.  Market cap fluctuates all the time, as the price of each share goes up and down.  What happened is the price dropped recently, and people claimed it was due to the tranny, and the market cap dropped by a few billion.  See there are ~1.7B shares outstanding, so every dollar drop in share price results in a drop of $1.7B in market cap.  But they don't lose that money.  It's not something they never get back, because the next day the stock is up a buck, and the market cap is up $1.7B.

3) Also I should explain Market Cap.  It's not Inbev gaining or losing money, it's ALL the shareholders, and they only take gains or losses when selling shares.  So again Inbev didn't lose $5B, because they don't own all the shares, and they didn't sell all the shares to lock in the loss.

You're not educated on this, and I would suggest you read some material online about how public companies work, then maybe you'll be better prepared to have this type of conversation.

So let's say you stayed 6 nights.  Thats' $3600, round up to $4K.  Park tickets for 7 days for 4 people, round up to $3000.  That's $6600.

Food? Let's say $350 per day, $2500 for the week.

We're still only at ~$9K....
