Page Six regrets to report that a press dinner to boost Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign descended into a foul bout of screaming and polemic farting Tuesday night.

The White House hopeful attended the affair at Tony’s on the Upper East Side, no doubt hoping to impress on the ladies and gentlemen of the Fourth Estate his worthiness to sit at the very same Oval Office desk once occupied by his late uncle. 

But a shouting match over climate change broke out between two boisterous old men, sending the evening down an extremely unfortunate path.

The gaseous exchange — to which Page Six bore reluctant witness — began after a guest asked Kennedy, founder of the ecological organization Waterkeeper Alliance, about the environment.

And it seems that the mere inquiry was enough to set off apparently drunk gossip columnist-turned-flack Doug Dechert, the host of the event, who became enraged and screamed at the top of his lungs: “The climate hoax!”

Meanwhile, octogenarian art critic Anthony Haden-Guest, who appeared to have been sleeping happily for most of the dinner, was roused by the abrupt rumpus.

He suddenly opened his eyes and denounced his longtime pal Dechert, calling him a “miserable blob.” 

“Shut up!” implored Haden-Guest.

Haden-Guest tells us he was not asleep. “I was just thinking,” he told us, and says he is the one who asked the question about the environment.

Dechert continued to scream wildly about the climate change “scam” while Haden-Guest peppered him with verbal volleys from across the table, calling him variously “f–king insane” and “insignificant.”

Meanwhile, Kennedy, a prospective president of the United States, watched calmly.

Here, it seems, Dechert sensed the need for a new rhetorical tack, and let rip a loud, prolonged fart while yelling, as if to underscore his point, “I’m farting!”

I think the bigger story here is these odd claims. 

I did see that “I’m farting” story the other day . Those parties on the Upper East Side get pretty lose when the Cabernet starts flowing!

If you are in politics (or anything in the public eye) and imply that Covid may have been developed to target certain ethnicities then you probably are going to get a few follow up questions

a simple google search shows the FDA approved the drug BiDiL for black patients only.  So we have proof the US government is target ethnicities for medicine.  It is a small step to go from that to the US government working on bioweapons that target ethnicities.  

and isnt it the liberals who argue that we used smallpox as an ethnic bioweapon to wipe out native americans?  the theory being that europeans had much more resistance to it.  so what you are really saying is that you believe we used ethnic bioweapons but you also dont see any proof we have used ethnic bioweapons or have developed any.  just talking out of both sides of your mouth as usual.

RFK isn’t making a “small step” though, he is stating it as fact.

And smallpox wasn’t an “ethnic bioweapon.”   People that hadn’t had the disease or the vaccine were more susceptible, not certain ethnicities.

I’m not a liberal.  

I’ve seen smallpox called a bioweapon, I have not seen it called an “ethnic” bioweapon.  It being used against certain ethnicities does not make it an “ethnic bioweapon.”

That’s like saying the gun Dylann Roof used was an “ethnic weapon,” because it was used to target certain ethnicities.

There isn’t a consensus on this. This is why this is worse IMO.

It isn’t really the point I was making. People act as if this guy spouting off on some rando theory he read on Twitter and then getting asked about it is some proof of something. It isn’t, it is how things typically should work.
