Has anyone been on a coaster that was so scary they'd legit not go on again?  I typically like coasters but I've never been on any of the mega giant ones like the ones in Ohio.  Kings Dominion and Hershey Park are the most extensive experience I have with coasters.

The one they shut down at Cedar Point after last season.  Top Fuel Dragster.

Looks they're updating this ride.  Don't they go like 400 ft in the air or something?

Yes. It will be interesting what the replacement looks like. The other one was Son of Beast at Kings Island. It was also shut down. Wood coasters are not meant for loops. That one was rough

If you are a coaster enthusiast, then go to CP. Best time to go is weekday in late August.  No waits.

I liked Hershey Park.  All the great old school rides but coasters don’t compare to Cedar Point.

Anyone been to both Kings Island and Cedar Point? Never been to Cedar Point, but the Kings Island coasters are incredible. Just wondering how the two compared.

Phoenix, a wooden roller coaster at Knobels, might be the best wooden roller coaster in the country.  If you have the chance, it's legit.

That's not the only thing you called me that night when were stuck in that foxhole; awaiting an enemy counter attack that never came.  I remember, you looked so good; with your face covered in fatigue paint and dirt.  You laughed when I licked my thumb and cleaned a spot of mud from your cheek.  I remember you giggling with joy when I put several spots of man mud on your face later.  Remember when we held each other after you opened your heart to me over your thoughts that you were a disappointment to your father?  Good times.

I live 20 minutes from KI, but have never made it up north to CP. I've heard CP is better though.

Yep and Cedar Point is #1 in the world. Went one time on Labor day back in the 70s. Totally desolate. Didn't have to wait on any ride of course back then we were still too little to pass thru the jumbo jet. Millennium Force was the last one I rode there in the early 2000s.

CP is the best, hands down.  Ive been to most parks from the East Coast to the Midwest. The sheer quantity and variety is incredible.  The number of Eastern European workers is kinda weird though. It made me feel like I was in the movie Hostel.

Came here to say The Beast at Kings Island near Cincy; went there during off season during the week and rode that thing 20 times.  This would have been around 1980, which according to Wiki was within a year of opening.

Been to both back in the early 80s…  Cedar Point’s coasters were much better then and just looking over the park rides now, that looks like it is still the case…

It currently boasts 16 coasters, which is third most in North America…

It should be opened next year…. It was closed due to a serious injury…

I would have been there probably 82-86ish went every summer. Was the big trip and then maybe see a Reds game.

KI is better if you have smaller kids.  Any other situation it’s CP, but both are great.
