That was Donald Trump. Hillary has never called for anyone in the Pentagon to be executed. That was Donald Trump. Hillary never promoted a riot against our Capitol in order to remain in power and prevent a free and fair election. That was Donald Trump.

The problem is that single issue votes will lead to politicians following the will of the voters on single issues, and that is NOT what the Founders wanted. They designed a system in which you and I would vote to elect smart people who would be educated on issues, and sometimes vote in ways the public doesn’t like. The reason that bills are combined is that it allows politicians to make votes for things that they know are necessary but which the public may not approve of- for instance, aid to Ukraine. 
Gaetz’  solution would lead to a more democratic form of government, responsive to the public, which is why AOC likes the idea. It’s a terrible idea. We are a pluralistic republic, not a democracy, and  should remain that way.

This is where the Trumptards lose us regular people.  Did he stand up for the working men that he stiffed on his Taj Mahal back in the 80s?  Did he stand up for soldiers and veterans when he bragged about not going to Vietnam or commented on McCain's service record?  For 40 years, he's shown you exactly the type of person he is; the worst example of Reaganomics Boomer Yuppisim.   He's a carnival barker version of Gordon Gekko.  He's such a opportunist, he even switched Parties because he figured he had more of a chance to make inroads in the Republican Party instead of the Democratic Party.

His policy is pretty standard RNC tentpole stuff; which isn't bad by itself to most Americans....but the idea that this guy "stands up for regular people" is just dumb.  Take his political stances and a little of his swagger and put it in the body of someone who has actually "walked the walked"....and the guy would win every election.  That person would certainly smoke Biden in this cycle.  As it is, the RNC and the Trumptards who are holding that political machine hostage are going to lose another election.
