Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., broke down in a fit of rage Friday aimed at President Biden and Democrat leadership over their support for Israel amid the war with Hamas.

Her angry comments came during a press conference held outside the U.S. Capitol alongside a few fellow members of the far-left "Squad" calling for a ceasefire in the war.

"How is it that we have a president who is talking about releasing hostages, who is talking about getting American citizens out of Israel, but could not get himself to say, I want to save and work to save the hundreds, thousands of Americans stuck in Gaza. What is wrong with you?" Omar said after claiming Israel had dropped more bombs on Gaza in the last 10 days than the U.S. did across an entire year in Afghanistan.

Yea but why do they decide look like incompetent idiots a year before the Presidential election?  They need all the voters they can get in '24.  Every time the Dems shoot themselves in the foot Republicans feel the need to do the same.  Why can't they at least pretend to be the adults in the room?

Some people in the center do not care.  They may hate what the Dems are doing but the look for a reason not to vote for Republicans. 

Proof is two years ago.   The Republicans were set to take the Senate and a large majority in the House when SCOTUS reversed Roe.   Like it or not all the celebrating by the Republicans before the election caused a lot of women the were sick of Biden to about face and vote Dem.   I am convinced that cost us the Senate and a number of house seats.  I could give two shits about the issue but IMO it is a loser for the R's .

Good post.  It's pretty clear that the "real" republicans as some folks here call them, idiots like Gaetz and Biggs, have no interest in winning.  They are either so stupid that I'm shocked they don't forget to breathe, or they get more enjoyment out of "being right" than actually effecting change.

Although it is interesting:  all of the MAGA stuff caused the predicted "red wave" of 2022 to fizzle.  But as a result, the handful of dopes that did make it through, now have a disproportionate amount of power within the party.  It's like they won for being chronic losers.  That's some 4D chess right there.

Correct, Omars district is heavy Somalian, we were in that are for a convention last year.  Gangs of Somalians roam the streets at night.  Not sure why Omar does not concentrate on making that area safer.
