A Las Vegas teenager died after he was attacked this month by about 15 people while he was defending a friend, his father said.

A minor was in a fight on Nov. 1 with more than a dozen people near Rancho High School, Las Vegas police said in a statement. At least some of the fight was recorded and shared on social media.

Jonathan Lewis Jr.'s death was confirmed on a memorial website written by his father.

“After holding my son’s hand in the hospital while on life support for 2 days and nights and watching his life leave his body and being shocked by the immensity and horror of my beloved boy just being beaten to death I felt a mission to act that moved me to my core,” his father, Jonathan Lewis Sr., wrote.

The website continued: “Jonathan was a hero who tried to help a smaller child who was being bullied and 15 people attacked him in cowardly violence and our beloved son was beaten to death!"

The teen was an aspiring artist who was kind and generous and "had his whole life ahead of him," according to the website.

Can't seem to find a single mainstream source which identifies the race of the victim or the gang.  The victim appears white in the photo, but I wonder what the attackers looked like.   Gee, another unsolved mystery.  No agenda here.   Just more whitewashed news so the  bootlicker's biases are not offended.  It was a mostly peaceful attack.

The police didn’t formally identify the perps at all because they’re minors.

This is nothing new. It's something I had to deal with in high school. White students couldn't walk home right after school because the black gangs would wait for them. 

I was jumped once but luckily it was a sucker punch and he ran back to his group. 

When I moved to a 99% white school my junior year I was surprised how well the 2 black kids in my new school were treated.

Oh well let's just keep pretending the world isn't how it really is.

I have seen a number of videos posted on this site of groups, gangs if you will, of black youth attacking lone whites.  They seem to relish a group beat down and when the victim is down they seem to relishrunning in for a head stomp. I am wondering, is this behavior endemic to a subculture or do white kids do the same.  Is the group beat down and head stomp a cross cultural phenomena?

The OP is a tragedy and all the boys involved have been charged with murder or they're looking for them.  We should discuss why life seems so unimportant at times in our country.
