I hope his driving is better and 16 comes quick.

If you don't golf that's okay
You can be a tiger anyway
Lie through your teeth when things get tough
Or your balls are gonna wind up in the rough, yeah yeah
If you wanna be like Tiger Woods
Fertilizing ladies in the neighborhood
Get real rich and you will find
All the hot chicks will want to grind
If you wanna be like Tiger Woods
Grip that shaft like you know you should
Get a platinum card, it will be all good
The girls will want you just like Tiger Woods
Remember this when you're having fun
Three holes are better than a hole in one, yeah
If the word gets out don't be afraid
When a nine iron's heading for your Escalade, yeah yeah
If you wanna be like Tiger Woods
Filling all the divots in the neighborhood
Don't think about those three foot putts
Cover your tracks when you're banging them sluts
If you wanna be like Tiger Woods
Text messages are never good
Nail the girl at the driving range
Your life will change, just like Tiger Woods
Have your best friend book all your flights
Tell your wife that you're golfing nights
Get a call girl and maybe just chill
Be willing to part with a hundred mil
Bang a new porn star every day
Tell your sponsors it will be okay
Surprise them all with an invitation
To a viewing of your first double penetration, yeah
If you wanna be like Tiger Woods
Poking all the holes in the neighborhood
Tell your wife how it's gonna be
Your driver is community property
If you wanna be like Tiger Woods,
Brett Favre did it, so you know you could!
Become the king of your neighborhood
Like Steel Panther and Tiger Woods
Just like Tiger Woods! Oh yeah yeah

He was so rich!!   Charlie is his clone.  Watch the movie sixth day.  Or "the island"

Cloning was all the rage...when Dolly the sheep happened.

Now not a peep.  Its a playground for the super rich and powerful.  They even took those movies off streaming now like they took away the coverage of 9/11 tower attacks.  They dont want people realizing whats going on.

Between that and AI....we are in a bad way.

I heard he was 3rd or 4th best on his own team

edit: just read the article. He came in 26th place, 4th on his own team. I know I sound like a hater, and it is florida where they grow golfers, but my point is he's not some sort of golf prodigy. With Tiger to teach him and all the resources he must have at his disposal, it's kind of funny.... and the media is almost as bad with him as they were slobbing Tiger's knob, which was at least deserved.

im sure they were older than Charlie who is a  freshman? but we are still dealing with high school kids here. one's dad is Tiger Woods and has already been anointed the next coming.  Looks like charlie is 14, I'm assuming the oldest kids were 17 unless they had very early birthdays.

When your dad is possibly the greatest golfer of all time and he spends tons of time with you (because he's always injured and not chasing poon as much ) and your swing is supposedly just like his, and you have access to any resource in the golf world and you're not already beating these other kids? Then who cares? He's obviously a fantastic golfer and the media is going to do what the media does but c'mon  let's pump the brakes a bit.

It's worse than Bronny James, high school's 30 something ranked player. At least he would likely be drafted regardless of his father.

young Tom Morris ✅

Name a great golfer who had a son who was deemed a great golfer at all, let alone by like 10 years old.

Haas became a successful pro. Kevin Stadler made it to a degree,  but I get your point

So is Charlie Woods a great golfer in your opinion? Based on his results in Notah Be Gays golf tour, and this HS stuff, I’m not sure he’s on tour pro trajectory other than it being forced… sponsor exemptions out the arse when the time comes

Look at that picture, the kid isn't anywhere near his adult body.  Looks like he is just starting adolescence.  I'm not saying he is the second coming of Tiger, but 26th in the state of Florida is pretty good for someone in that body.  :dunno:

I would also venture to guess that most of the kids playing are not at their adult bodies.

again I’m not saying he isn’t a very talented golfer. It’s more about with how much we hear about him and how much he has at his disposal, you’d think he was dominating junior golf and he’s not even beating kids his own age in just Florida let alone the US.
He was getting beat in the notah begay tournaments too in his age group.

im not even against Charlie. I’ve softened on Tiger since he became less of a d bag… he had not much choice… but he’s become likable the past few years. I just don’t see it. If you’re Tigers son AND you’re clearly trying to follow in his footsteps and dedicate your life to golf, you’re not the second coming at this point.

Right there for what? A 78? He’s a very good golfer, nothing more. Has all the tools in the world at his disposal.

Oh I’m sure it’s all being pushed extra hard since the writing is on the wall that Dad is toast.

Probably just for the competition of it.  Even if he did, I doubt he gives up his amateur status.

had he actually qualified, which he wasn't close, he'd definitely be staying an amateur. He will probably go off to play at Stanford and then get years of sponsors exemptions on tour.

My issue is just that more so than any other son of a famous athlete, he is forced on golf fans to an extent. I don't blame him, I would blame Tiger if anything. Considering Tiger sort of blamed his scandals on how he grew up so laser focused on golf and no real social life and then losing his dad who kept him grounded, etc... I would maybe keep my son out of the spotlight just a bit.

Golf is so desperate for the next thing, or maybe more so desperate to hang onto Tiger. 7 year old Tiger could probably whip current Charlie

you never know. I'm sure plenty of people thought there would never be a next thing after Jack....  or Michael Jordan before Lebron

Jack was no Tiger, Jack did not change the sport. Too much money in sports now for people to work that hard.

LoL, Charlie is 15. It's obviously understood that he'd stay an amateur, regardless.

Probably just wanted to see where he stands, he's got some work to do. Who cares, good on the kid for taking a shot.

Griffey

McCafferey

off the top of my head. Most of the time jr doesn’t live up to expectations. What are some other examples of kids out performing dad?

I hope his dad doesn’t teach him the ends and outs of banging Waffle House waitress broads in Ohio.

He only has to be half the golfer Tiger was and be on a Phil Mickelson level.

I hope that happens and would enjoy watching. I would make a bet though that he nor Little John ever win a major or be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round picks in EdEx

Of course, the odds are definitely stacked against them.

Again, I’m hope I’m wrong. Charlie and Little John both being badass would be awesome. Had they been born in the 80s I would take the other side of the bet. Today’s golf youth, like all other sports is different than when we grew up. It’s specialized on one sport, training and coaching are better. The competition they face is 1000 times more fierce than what dad faced.
