I literally gave you the definition of cultural appropriation.  I know you Lefties like to redefine words to meet your worldview, but I don't subscribe to that foolishness.  If you will agree that this is not a case of cultural appropriation, but you find it offensive anyway, I'll still think it is a wrong position, but not an inane one.

And I stipulate to no such thing.  I'm kinda sad in a way that the kid ended up being native, because it obscures from the real discussion, which is that a kid dressing up to support his team is not objectively offensive.  If you have an issue with the Chiefs having that as their name, go for it, but don't get all woke with a kid for supporting his team.

I think even Chiefs fans as white as Elizabeth Warren should be allowed to pain their face like Bills and Raiders fans. I jsut think it was delicious when the kid turned out to be Indian.

But I guess liberals are arguing that Chiefs fans should be barred from the practice every other fan base participates in because it pisses off white liberals.

There is no slippery slope here. There is nothing beyond don’t disrespect or appropriate Native American culture. Thats all. It’s not me or any other liberal who is telling you this. It’s Native Americans. The writer of the article that started this current situation was only repeating what he’s heard from Native Americans. It’s offensive to them. 
 

You guys seem to believe that we liberals create this stuff. We don’t. All we do is listen to those who say they are offended and, if we think the complaint is just, we empathize with them and agree with them. Thats all we do. In the case of Native Americans most liberals believe that complaints about cultural appropriation are generally just given the history. We might not agree with other complaints from other groups. It depends on the details. Which is why slippery slopes don’t exist.
