Recommended Posts

ABC News Now has nothing about it, guess they don't want to go off script and have news Now like their name sake. Pathetic!

I’m reading that they think only about a dozen cars were on the bridge. It will be a miracle if less than 25 people are dead

Good to hear... ... Makes me think though of The Mothman bridge collapse at Point Pleasant in the 70's.

Damn, that is horrific.  Thankfully it was not packed with hundreds of cars.  Prayers to those families who were impacted.

And the flashing lights glare, while the sirens did blare, gave proof through the night, that our bridge was not there.

I guess some people never heard of the Star Spangled Banner. Or the whole 1812 thing...

Opening day is Thursday for the Orioles. Will the bridge be repaired by then?

Can the U.S. even build such  structure using U.S. products anymore?

Without propulsion, the ship would have little directional control.

That barge drifted for a long time....  why doesn't it have anchors?  Even if they lost electrical, surely they could manually lower some.?.

:dunno:

How long does it take for anchors to 'work'? :dunno:

Any reports on what cargo that ship is carrying?

Then the anchors could have dredged the harbor floor tearing up any number of cables and or pipelines.

Families of the deceased would've preferred that.

So when did people start caring about a couple human lives over millions in dollars and destruction of additional infrastructure based on a distant hope that they could be saved.?

That is such a shlt argument you should be embarrassed.

It's like arguing no one should be driving cars because of the deaths that accidents cause.

This happened in Oklahoma a number of years ago. A ship hit a bridge on Interstate 40 and caused like 40 deaths.
