Texas will be a purple state by 2028 and Blue by 2032

Being from CA, you do know what happened to Republicans winning elections in CA after Reagan’s amnesty, right?

The turnover came in 1994 following Prop 187 and Pete Wilson’s disastrous anti-immigrant campaign (mild by Trumpian standards). Thats why we’ve been a blue state ever since. Remove the immigration issue and Cali will be purple in 10 years.

You think that's why red states have turned blue is Americans moving to red states?

At this juncture, it absolutely is.  As much as the moron's on this board think that abortion and nonsense issues like that, are what turn states, it's always about the money.  ALWAYS.  Shifts are happening because libtards are economically making their states uninhabitable for the average person.  That average person will then turn to another location which is more financially pleasing.  They don't understand that their voting habits are the cause, so they move from a liberal cesspool to a better situation, and vote for the same people they voted for to create the liberal cesspool in the first place.

If Texas turns purple, then blue, it's because of the influx of lefty morons from the Pacific Coast moving down there and continuing their voting habits.  It has nothing to do with anything else.  Like I said, it's always about the money.

Well, not always.  Historically, people are more likely to lean Democrat when they're young and as they get older, they become more intelligent and vote Conservative.  It's usually the idiots who stay Left.  So, every year there are new 18 year olds who are more likely to register Democrat than Republican.  It is part and parcel to the indoctrination process of the education system.

Immigration is a way bigger cause of Red states turning blue than Democrats fleeing blue states. Wake up.

LOL, 0%.  When Trump wins in November, on January 21, 2025, he can EO an immigration policy that would make every Californian have wet dreams.  In 2026, CA will vote straight blue... in 2028, they'll vote straight blue, in 2030, 2032, 2034, 2036, 2038, 2040, 2042, 2044, 2046, etc... straight blue.  California is 100% social justice run.  It's all about virtue signaling to minorities, women, and everyone else who isn't a straight white conservative male.

It was kind of incredible that Trump only won Texas by 52% to 46.5% in 2020. That’s a worrying trend for Republicans - hard to win a general if the Dems start with 120+ electoral votes in the bag (NY, CA, TX).

Texas going blue underscores how much MAGAturds have turned off residents here with their extremist viewpoints.

Ted Cruz likely will lose this year, and hopefully someone can come along and kick that turdburger Abbott out of office.

Major metro areas already are blue.

Maybe in 50 years.

I think he’s probably right for Texas and Arizona, with an assist from northerners moving to the bigger metro areas.  But he’s not right for several other states that have been turning purple.

Trump is leading Texas by 12 points.  I thought by 2028 and 2032 Trump will be dictator and Democracy will be destroyed.  The whole country will be voting 99 percent for Barron Trump for the rest of our lives.

Mexican's aren't migrating to Texas and Arizona.  They may be increasing due to having kids, but if the increase are illegal immigrants, they can't vote anyway.

Also, just because there's a big influx of registered voters coming in, there is data that shows a lot of people leaving TX and AZ to go to CA.  Odds are, there's a greater chance that those leaving are voters who are registered as Democrats and the net gain/loss is nominal.  There are no stats showing how many D & R voters left the state because they're still eligible to vote in that state until they file as a resident of their new state.  The one spot I can see a legitimate increase is young people coming of age to vote.

I don't see how this is a boost to the communist party.  The state is allowing the residents to vote on it.  It's literally taking the agenda out of the hands of the politicians and putting in the hands of the population (it's how it should be done... and a Republican led court is doing it).  The ONLY way you could claim this is a boost to the communist party, is if you think the government should have a say in reproduction.

He doesn’t like most legal immigrants either.  This is the guy that said we should only accept immigrants with college degrees and only from European countries.

Texas is like 40% Hispanic and Arizona 30%

When you have issues like abortion and weed that people care about on the ballot, it increases voter turnout.  And people that are passionate about making weed and abortion legal are likely to vote D.

I’m not @RLLD, I don’t put much faith in polls, and I’m talking about Presidential elections.  NJ has been 55%+ Dem since 2008, Trump won FL with 49% in 2016 and 51% in 2020 after Obama won both 2008 and 2012.  Given it’s the same candidates as 2020 I’d expect Trump to win again, but especially with the abortion stuff it’s certainly still a swing state.  Colorado went from a 5% margin of victory for Hillary to 13% margin for Biden.

I dont put any faith in polls, but Biden led florida at this point in 2020 by 2 pts

also both senate and governor flipped dade county which was huge, so thats what made the state heavy red

I have no interest in that mindset.  If people want to come here, and come here legally, that's fine with me.  I do think the country should have a more firm hold on the American Culture, and not try to alter our way to other cultures.  I see no problems with sections of towns with large immigrant communities having cultural districts.  Chinatown for example.  Something like that is fine with me, but we shouldn't be making sweeping changes to our country to accommodate their culture into ours.  I think what makes America great is the variety of cultures available.  If you make everyone's culture into the American culture, then theirs no pockets... it's one big thing of nothing.  There's no country unity because it requires everyone to accept everyone else's culture as their own.  That's the direction the Left is going and it's not good.  Leaving pockets to celebrate their culture and inviting everyone in is the way to go, not to force everyone to accept those cultures.

Hispanic increases, if there are any, are mostly due to illegal immigration, not them leaving other states and moving to Texas.  Those people can't vote, so population number is moot.

Those people are already there and already either voting Democrat or Republican.  It's not going to sway anything at all.  If anything, it'll sway the independents right, because that's the party giving them the opportunity to take matters into their own hands and not putting it the politicians hands.  Now, if the people vote one way, and the policy makers ignore the voice of the the majority, then yes, at that point I can see a swing in voting.  Otherwise, to think it would be any benefit to the left, seems foolhardy.

Simply, giving the people the ability to vote for what they want is a very libertarian stance.  The independents who side with that, are more likely to vote conservative in the next election(s), because that's who gave them the opportunity, not the liberals.

Are you forgetting that Meatball Ron signed a 6 week abortion ban?  That could certainly cause some independents to vote Biden.

This is not true.

Here’s Texas % of population that is Hispanic:

1980: 21%
2000: 32%
2020: 39%

Arizona:

1980: 16%
2000: 25%
2020: 30%
