Also, I made a lot of money in my engineering sales career.  Two words (engineering, sales) that you could never do, because you don't understand technology, or people.  Or the English language.  Yet you skyrocketed up a billion dollar company.

If by"Billion Dollar Company" you actually mean "top poster and twink cruiser on ghey bodybuilding site" then, yes, he has skyrocketed.

Oh, that makes it ok.  Why is the official city social media account of KC doxxing one of its own pro athletes?  Dumb doesn't even begin to cover how wrong that was to do.  Of course you're defending it.

It’s a city of 100k people focktard, it’s not very identifying. They weren’t telling people to go to his house, they were basically just calling out that he doesn’t live in Kansas City.

Looks like he was “doxxed” by realtor.com in 2019: https://www.realtor.com/news/celebrity-real-estate/kansas-city-chiefs-2023-real-estate/

Butker is a huge assh0le, is my thought. Don’t really need to get into the substance of what he said —though it is asinine— but who the fock tells women graduating that day and getting their college diploma that they belong in the kitchen and not the workplace?

Only a focking assh0le, that’s who.

Anyway, he’s a pretty good kicker though. Should probably just stick to that

Can you please provide the quote where he said “belong in a kitchen”?

It’s clear most of you haven’t actually listened to his speech but are regurgitating fake news headlines.

I don't think it's the Catholic values per se.  He basically told women that he knows what they want more than they do.

So they were too dumb to know they were being deceived apparently.  And they're too dumb to know they don't really want a career, but a 28 year old millionaire who never had to do actual work knows what is going to make them happy.

It's kind of insulting.

Here’s the full text for people who haven’t listened or read it.  He never said women shouldn’t have a career, in fact the opposite.  What he said, using his wife as an example, is that being a married homemaker is okay too and can bring you much joy (his wife tells him this).  That raising children is rewarding.

I know, I know.  :clutches pearls:

https://www.ncregister.com/news/harrison-butker-speech-at-benedictine

The whole speech is centered around the church.  Which makes sense because he was invited there.  To a Catholic school.

He didn’t start going off saying this at the NFL draft or after a game.  That would be ridiculous.

Not surprised you'd think it's ok for the government to direct people to the general vicinity where someone lives knowing it could lead to violence against that person.  You're such a great human being!!!  Fortunately, the AG of Missouri doesn't share your viewpoint and is investigating.

If you’re going to argue semantics, he certainly didn’t say “women should have a career” (other than being a homemaker).  He said “some of you may have successful careers,” very different.

And that was of course right after he said they “had the most diabological lies told to you.”  Then he said his wife’s “life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and mother” and “embraced one of the most important titles of all: homemaker.”

You got us, he didn’t specifically say “women need to get back in the kitchen,” but that’s pretty much a paraphrasing of his comments on women.

So women- almost 2 generations ago said it so it must hold true today?

I'm all for Butker having the ability to say it. I'd say maybe this wasn't the best place for it considering what he is giving a speech at. But it's a silly thing to get angry about if you aren't a woman, and weren't in that crowd

As if that anywhere represents the typical college experienice, major, or college debt.  You morons argue to the extreme because you're morons logic and is anathema to you.

Speaking of college:   "Men with bachelor's degrees earn approximately $900,000 more in median lifetime earnings than high school graduates. Women with bachelor's degrees earn $630,000 more. Men with graduate degrees earn $1.5 million more in median lifetime earnings than high school graduates. Women with graduate degrees earn $1.1 million more."

So yea, keep being anti-college, actual FACTS tell a far different story, but hey, you have your feelz to keep you warm at night I guess.

Sure, why not? Their debate was important, they both raised salient points....so too did women 100 years ago....

Rather than using a logical fallacy to deflect their debate, you should consider it for its merits.

I'm well aware that people with college degrees make more money.  But those aren't the ones who need loan relief.  I doubt that many engineering/STEM grads need their loans paid off.  Because those are useful skills.

Finance degree, maybe, because that just involves making a debit and credit column add up the same.  Cog work.

You said I was arguing the extremes.

I responded that it was not the extremes, that people with less useful degrees are the majority of people who can't pay of their loans.

You typed... this, and think it's a big win for some reason.

So, if I am arguing the extremes, please educate me on your opinion of the typical persona of a person who can't pay off their loans.  Heart surgeon?  CFO?  Patent Lawyer?  :dunno:
