Why would a black person vote for Trump

oooo ooo ooo. Because they are tired of being treated like the belle of the ball every 4 years then dropped like a hot rock asap after.

Might be some truth to this, but given that Trump was already president and did nothing, he shouldn't garner any support again, right?

Saying trump did nothing is absolutely not correct.  President Trump signed the historic FIRST STEP ACT into law. 90 percent of those who have had their sentences reduced are Black Americans. Black poverty hit an all time low in 2019 under trump. President Trump restored funding and increased investment for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) by 14 percent. In 2018, President Trump signed a budget deal which forgave more than $300 million in debt owed by four HBCUs impacted by natural disasters and provided $10 million in loan payment deferments for schools that face financial difficulties, including HBCUs.

Biden banned menthols and then unbanned them because it could cost him votes.

And Biden spoke at one yesterday and used his time to scare the black men there, just like the klan did when they dressed up as ghosts of confederate soldiers.

OK here's one.  The FUTURE Act was a democratic sponsored bill, which gave $85M to HBCUs, and Trump signed it to his credit.

In 2021, Biden said hold my beer and passed $2.7B for HBCUs.

That makes your statement false.

What a shame he only did that after Trump forced his hand.

Both those items were covered in my original post.

When I said "nothing" it was hyperbole.  He did very little.

You're giving Trump credit for Biden giving historic funding to HBCUs.

This is peak Maga.

He was the leader of the Birther movement.

So, a known racist.

But people have short memories. That was a decade ago now (jeez, I’m old :( )

Wrong.  The birther movement originated from the Hillary camp.  Uninformed.

I would concur with this assertion.  Biden created the mechanism for his own demise and now he gets to enjoy the fruits of economic mismanagement.

You’re an idiot. It was not “economic mismanagement” — quite the opposite, in fact.

There were concerted efforts to stave off economic collapse during COVID, by both Trump and Biden.

It was the right thing to do, and it worked.

However, when you pump trillions into the economy, yes, there will be some inflation.

Unfortunately the American people are not sophisticated enough to see that it was a trade off, and when they should take 100 times out of 100.

Your ad hominem aside, he has dramatically mismanaged the situation.  First he lied about inflation, and when he could no longer lie he called it "transitory" another lie....but what if people made financial decisions based on his lies?

Then he threw more money into a system already showing inflation.....and naturally he made it far worse. It was utter stupidity. It was beyond reckless.  It is far easier to foment inflation than it is to fix it....he screwed himself.

He did not need to pump in the extra money later, but he did it to buy popularity....like a fool

No he did not “lie,” that’s an absurdly stupid statement to make. Obviously the data would betray any attempt to “lie.” The economists believed inflation would recede quickly and it has, in fact, dropped dramatically from like 9% down to 3.5%.

But it should be a half a point or a full point lower and, yes, that last little bit has been hard to shake.

It’s possible they overdid the stimulus, I’ll give you that. However, that was in direct response to the ‘08 collapse, where the measures taken there were deemed far too little and it took the economy many years to recover.

You really need to educate yourself on this stuff.

Inflation is over 20 pct under Biden. And that’s with them not counting many of the goods people use on a regular basis. So stop gaslighting people that go to the store and the gas station. Thanks

Much as I detest Trump, and hope he loses, the question is offensive. Black people are not monolithic. Some of them are conservative. Some of them agree with Trump on immigration, or nationalism, or his economic policy, or all of it.

Also, not every black person votes based primarily on the question, “what have you done for black people?” You would never assume a white person votes based on “what have you done for white people?” (Well, @Cdub100 might, but most wouldn’t.)

They vote so over whelming Democrat it might as well be 100%

He did lie....over and over. For months in 2020 he insisted it was not inflation, and when he could no longer lie it existed he then lied about it being transitory.... all of this was lying....

He then threw gasoline on the fire....with inane things like the "Inflation Reduction Act" <_<   That was a lie through misnaming, classic Democrat tactic.

All along the way  plenty of voices called all this out as bad....bad policy....but he did it anyway, because....fock the people.....

You can pretend none of it happened, but even the white house and other political liars now admit it was bad, which anyone with ECON101 behind them could have seen, and plenty of people did.....

Your lack of understanding of how these all work is telling

"The answer lies in Democratic, not Republican politics, and in the bitter, exhausting spring of 2008. At the time, the Democratic presidential primary was slipping away from Hillary Clinton and some of her most passionate supporters grasped for something, anything that would deal a final reversal to Barack Obama."

According to the article, the theory that Obama was born in Kenya "first emerged in the spring of 2008, as Clinton supporters circulated an anonymous email questioning Obama's citizenship.'"

The second article was published by the Telegraph, a British paper, that stated: "An anonymous email circulated by supporters of Mrs Clinton, Mr Obama's main rival for the party's nomination, thrust a new allegation into the national spotlight - that he had not been born in Hawaii."

To your point, there were a couple of NY times liberals on Maher the other night saying how the left is in the process of trying to memory hole all the stupidity they have partaken in over the last decade.  Sad when they can admit it but Worms is still more concerned with winning.

Never seen such a disinterested crowd in a speech. Zero respect, A total humiliation for Biden.

Biden keeps repeating the same things that are condescending to black people. They can`t relate to an 82 year old man who has made racist comments, put more black people behind bars with his crime bills, broke families and now is trying to repent and relate.  Just does not work with that crowd.

Biden has made so many racist statements, which to be fair is more or less in line with Democrats and how they act, but whop cares what he says.... I dont put much into that....

It is outcomes that are telling.   Look at who benefits and who loses from his policies....the AA community is pointedly, and disproportionately, hurt......and i think they are tired of it.
