DEI is in trouble

How are you ever in the world going to succeed as a race if you’re constantly holding onto bad things that happened in the past to people that you have only heard of?

I mean, if they don’t celebrate it is slavery coming back? I don’t know to me. It’s just silly.

Can you imagine every free country spending all their time whining daily about stuff that happened 150+ years ago and demanding people who never lived through it to pay reparations? Hell, Africa as a continent, never stopped the atrocities they have been doing to their own people since they came into existence.

You don't have to imagine.... just look at California.

California:  A state that wants to pay reparations to people who were never slaves, by people who never had slaves in a State that NEVER had slavery.

Coincidentally, I'm just staring a DEI video today for a company to lead off some conference they are putting together.  I probably won't be using many of the ideas or suggestions from this thread.  😁

There’s always backlash to wokeism and sometimes it’s powerful. Three steps forward one step back. We’ll get there eventually. In ten years from now the folks complaining about this will be embarrassed that they ever did; that’s the way it always goes.

Diversity programs are bad because conservatives want to ignore history and white privilege and pretend that everyone has equal opportunity to succeed regardless of race or gender.

Home improvement retail chain Lowe’s is retreating from some of its diversity, equity and inclusion commitments after receiving word it would be the next target of a conservative activist’s campaign against companies that champion DEI.

That video was weeks ago, client approved and already shown at whatever meeting it was for...today it's instructional videos for roof installation. The party never stops here!

The liberals on LinkedIn are having a meltdown about all of this. It is hilarious. I knew the DEI game was over when I saw how many DEI related people were open to work. I am super happy to see this. I picked up a contract job about 3 months ago and we are just staffing for state IT jobs. They do not give a shitt about DEI. They just assume everyone is going to be on an h1b anyway.

The problem we face is that liberals are emerging from our educational system with inane beliefs and irresponsible ideas.   They pursue these ideas with zeal, the bad ideas inevitably cause harm.....but liberals do not learn from their mistakes, they just assume some hidden evil is preventing the good outcomes they were so confident their stupid ideas would create.

So they never actually learn, they just keep hurting people over and over

Kind of like when they defend communism saying that it  just wasn't done right. They would be much better at it!

Ford Motor Co. told employees it will no longer participate in an annual survey from an LGBTQ advocacy group and would not use quotas for minority dealerships and suppliers, the latest company to make changes to its diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives as corporate America faces growing pressure from a conservative activist whose anti-DEI campaign is gaining momentum.

Correct.  The notion of Communism presumes a human that does not have humanity, it envisions some utopian existance where people just get along and help each other, which is farcical

That's the fundamental flaw of lefty thought.

People aren't inherently good.  In fact, on whole, it's closer to the opposite, but we're so shielded in this country from the inherent nature of man that they don't understand that we're only a few degrees of separation from some Lord of the Flies shìt.  And that's not to say everyone is bad, but you only need maybe 30% to have suboptimal moral compunctions and when everything goes to hell, the 30% are going to run over the folks trying to be moral.

What's more is they'll read this and think, "that's not true," and continue down the path and then just like covid when it blows up in all of our faces they'll give us another, "oops, our bad.  We tried our best."  It's like, "bro, you have a fundamental misunderstanding of human nature.  Stop trying to make policy decisions "

I literally got into an argument with a liberal who claimed that Stalin, Mao and others perverted Communism and that it's really a good system if run by the right people.  There has not been one instance of Communism being successful but it's "a good system".

Guess we just haven't found the right person yet 175 years after the Communist Manifest was first published.  Let's keep trying until we get it right!!!  What's another 50 or 60 million dead?

Molson Coors scraps 'woke' DEI policies in growing trend among US companies

Starbuck is going about it all wrong.  He's warning companies he's going to out them.  He needs to just out them so OTHER companies are worried that he might do the same to them and preemptively change their policies.  As it is, they just wait until he contacts them and then change their policies.
