Radio host Andrea Lawful-Sanders has resigned from WURD Radio after admitting her post-debate interview with President Joe Bidenincluded questions that were pre-selected by Biden’s campaign team, the station told CNN Sunday.

“The interview featured pre-determined questions provided by the White House, which violates our practice of remaining an independent media outlet accountable to our listeners,” Sara Lomax, president and CEO of the Philadelphia-based station, announced in a statement posted Sunday on its website. “As a result, Ms. Lawful-Sanders and WURD Radio have mutually agreed to part ways, effective immediately.”

Biden seems to be putting in a big push in Philly.  Not sure why, since he already has 107% of the vote there.  Maybe he hopes it spills over to the rest of the state?  :dunno:

I dunno, seems kinda sh-tty she’s losing her job over it.

This is a radio station.

It’s kinda like local media where they just reprint “stories” from press releases. Yeah it’s bunk but it’s also done all the time and they don’t really have the staff or talent to develop that sh-t themselves :dunno:

Is Stern even relevant?  Who listens to him anymore?

If I had to guess, I'd be willing to say that his station is the most listened to on SiriusXM.

LOL, the other stations are music that people set and forget.  People actively turn on Stern to actually listen, not have it as background noise, so stop.

Me neither.  Virtually 100% of my listening is on MLB Radio, NFL Radio, Fantasy Sports Radio, and play-by-play.

It is about that time of year for me when I will tune into NFL radio, occassionally.

Yeah, that's what it usually is for me as well, though I wait until after the MLB trade deadline to really hone in.

Baseball lost me years ago axfter yet another strike.  I suppose if my childhood team, the brewers, were to ever make another World Series I would tune in but I bsasically lost interest.

To me, the game was and is, still the game.  Love it.  The strike only made me care a lot less about the players and owners and more about the laundry than the person wearing it.

I watch it only for America's Baseball Team - The Milwaukee Brewers.

Which, of course, is cool because we also have America's Football Team - The Green Bay Packers.

The Brewers are the one team I focking hate.  😀

That douche Ryan Braun just made it easier to hate them. 🤣

No ill feelings towards the Packers.

Not the Yankees, the Dodgers, the Astros?  Well, no matter, you have the inherent right of any fan, to hate what you hate.

I'm a Pirates fan.  The other 3, meh.  The problem is the rules of the league, not the teams playing by those rules.  I do root against the higher salary teams, but I don't dislike them.  The Brewers though?  HATE 'EM!!  Especially more so when Braun was caught cheating and blamed an innocent man, and got him fired.  Fock that douche and organization, forever.

Yeah, god forbid "journalists" have standards.  And you know, the radio station had a policy against this.  Do you think employees who violate company policy should be subject to discipline, up to and including termination?

"We'll grant your radio station a presidential interview if you ask him these questions we've prepared for you."

"OK, I will. Thanks."

They have to fake spontaneous interviews. The Biden campaign's cozy relation with friendly media mirrors exactly how it's done in China.

I’d find it hard to believe if there were not higher up people within this radio station that no one has ever heard of aware of and agreeing to these terms.
