RNC: Trump Acceptance Speech

There's 15 years of history of Tim doing this kind of stuff.  He' desperately wants to be ahead of the curve with his nonsense predictions and most of the time is the last one to come aboard.  It was just a week ago how he was telling us how fit Biden still is and there aren't any mental issues.

Tim LITERALLY changed his stance when he heard that Adam Schitt was asking Biden to step down.  That's how Tim rolls.  Unable to form his own opinions based on data and logic.  Just clings to what others tell him and changes his stance based on what the next person tells him.  It's just sad.

Yep.  Rinse and repeat with every thread and every issue.

This  was written by the guy who insists that Trump doesn’t endorse political violence, who just wrote that Trump was 100x more effective a President than Joe Biden (the infrastructure bill would like a word with you), and whose criticism of Kamala Harris is rooted in blatant misogyny. So spare me the analysis. Your credibility is lacking.

They seem like fact checkers to me.  With all the blatant falsehoods you post, it’s a necessary role.

I didn’t think the speech was great to be honest. It was meandering. It was not specific, he’s got a lot of very broad ideas for the next four years, but it was so disjointed.

I mean, this was his opportunity to reach out to independents and democrats and say what he could do for them. Feel like it was a miss tonight.

It's nice to see an honest and critical opinion for once.  The rest of these guys like to slob on his knob like corn on the cobb.

The guy who showed up on a bored he vowed never to step foot in, 18 years after I joined, is accusing me of following him around from thread to thread?  Just making sh*t up again.

I respectfully disagree with you . I think it’s true that Biden needs to quit and is at a major disadvantage if he stays in. But in the event (unlikely now IMO) that he stays in I still think he would have a fighting chance due to this speech by Trump. Say a 35% chance (versus a 10% chance before the speech.)

Biden has to step aside.  Policies excluded there is no way in hell that he should start a new term at 82.  The media is now reporting on what the rest of the world has been observing last couple of years.  Father time caught up to and passed  Old Joe real fast.  Just not mentally and physically up to the task.

Another one of your problems.  You make everything about you.  Every thread.  Every topic.  Everything.  No one follows you around from thread to thread.  This is why people call you thinks like pr!ck.  Because you act like one all the damn time.  No one gives a crap who you agree with or don't.

Hulk Hogan being there reminds me of Idiocracy.  We get closer and closer to that movie.

I don't disagree that Idiocracy is more of a documentary than we'd care to admit, but Hulk Hogan ain't the reason.

This RNC is being compared to the 2008 DNC that launched Obama to victory.

Wait are you saying that showing up somewhere 18 years after you did, means he’s following you?

Strongly disagree. I expected a very good speech (see my post in the other thread) that would help Trump sew things up. This was terrible. I suspect it reminded millions of Americans why this guy is completely unfit to be President. If Biden quits this will give Kamala an advantage. Even if Biden somehow doesn’t quit this speech gives Joe a fighting chance. It did a LOT of harm.

No one that hasn’t decided their vote already watched this speech

I'll admit it went on so long it about put me out.  I couldn't tell you half what he said after about 45 minutes and I watched the whole thing.

I’ll mark you down as a no.

We still have an Under of 2.5!

So just heard the prepared speech was 3000 words and Trump went 12,000.   You can contrast this with a Biden speech which is normally about 280 words and he starts mumbling around word 50 and maybe makes it to word 200.

I lasted 5 minutes, or about 5 times longer than I typically do with one of your Moms.

Some things are not written for my ears, for my temperment.  Things like Tadylor Swift concerts, Karin Jean Pierre briefings, or Donald Trump speeches. I soldered through maybe half while changing channels every so often, and then I just had to go for a walk as I felt brain cells screaming out for oxygen and silence.

I am sure it was a stirring rendition but I muted the broadcast during that segment to speak with my brother.

Just saw her in Amsterdam (on July 4) and I have to say it was the most amazing concert I’ve ever attended. The energy of the crowd, and her command of the stage, was simply unbelievable. As a young teenager I saw Queen in 1980 and Freddie Mercury was the only guy who comes close to her (though I’m too young for the Beatles).
