We were a field sales force, we didn't implement SW systems.  We interacted with humans regarding our SW, and their needs weren't set on 2-week boundaries.

Out of my ballpark. But that's interesting to envision.

“Agile” is one of those buzzwords that gets bandied about the corporate world all the time but usually means nothing. I’ll bet your small company had a lot of “disrupters” and “accelerators”, too.

Not really.  Agile is a real thing, with processes and everything.  It is often contrasted with the historical "waterfall" approach, where all requirements are set up front.  There are pluses and minuses to it, but regardless, neither of those approaches has anything to do with a field sales team.

False.  Agile is a development process (most applicably used in SW) with tangible concepts, tools, and methods on which it is implemented.

It's a total change to software release methodolgy. It has a completely different approach and daily structure to the IT team. That dude just exposed himself as a complete hack.

Well I guess talking about computer software in an Olympics thread is slightly better than whining about drag queens.

I won’t be able to contribute much until the wrestling starts

Eating some lunch and watching overhead barrels in Men’s surfing. This French dude is having a day. Will switch to some Beach Volleyball or Water Polo in a bit. Olympics are in full steam!

Not sure. It’s not listed on this Peacock Hub thing yet which is what I’m letting guide my experience.

Just looking at hotels in Paris and Marriotts aren’t totally insane prices. Figured everything would just be sold out. Missed opportunity here.

I had to take an art history elective in college. Had I not taken that class I probably would've thought it was mocking The Last Supper too. Of course I would have had to ignore all the other tributes to French history and ignore that there are connections between Dionysus and the French culture and Olympic games...but again- I know that is getting much further into actually reading and researching stuff than you ever go.

The difference is my default wouldn't have been "ROAR! MAH OUTRAGE!!!!" It would've been "Well that was stupid" (as pretty much all Olympics opening and closing ceremony stuff is.

:dunno:

LOL

What they didn't tell you in your one history class you had to take to get your teaching certificate is that almost every dam Christian tradition and symbol is stolen from pagans, mythology or previous religions.  Anyone that didn't connect those dots to the last supper and anticipate the outrage is an uneducated buffoon.

I get it, the blue Tellytubby was Bacchus.  Sure.  But they had a freaking halo on the he/she Jesus's head.

Waves close to double overhead today for the men’s competition with perfect barrels. Little better conditions than they’d have on the French Atlantic coast 😂

Oh, so you’re saying Jesus was a made up character based on Apollo, another made up character?  I feel like there may be some posters here that would disagree with that take

You said “nearly every damn Christian symbol is stolen from Pagans, mythology or previous religions.”

I pointed out that the fat lady was depicting Apollo, not Jesus.

You said that was a distinction without a difference.

To me, that sounds like you’re saying Jesus was “stolen” from mythology.

Tell us why you think Apollo, the dichotomy of Dionysus, is sitting head of the table at the Feast of Dionysus.

I imagine it's difficult to explain in your own words.

That's not the Feast of Dionysus.  That's Feast of the Gods.  Moving the goal posts again?

OMG it looks exactly like the Last Supper except Greek gods instead of apostles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No way that get's taken out of context.

No, I’m no art history major but my original point of saying that the fat lady was depicting Apollo, not Jesus, was in reference to the fact that I believe the depiction was inspired by the Feast of the Gods, not the Feast of Dionysus.

As I acknowledged in the other thread, I can see the argument that people might think it was the Last Supper.  But that doesn’t mean it was actually meant to be the Last Supper.  And even if it was, I’m not sure I really see where the “mocking” is occurring other than an exposed testicle which you have to zoom to 100x to see.

Oh man, you shouldn't let a fantasy football message board interfere with that.

And where do you think the Last Supper was inspired from FFS.

Make sense you give them a pass for not realizing the vast majority of Christians would take issue with it if you think an exposed testical is ok if it's a small one.

I didn't see that when I was watching.  There is a surprising amount of judging involved for a sport where they hook up a bunch of circuits to determine who stabs who first.  :dunno:

Surprised there hasn’t been more discussion about this seeing as sword fighting is like the number one sport in these parts.

So the last supper was made up too? Man, you really hate Christians.

I don’t think an exposed testicle is OK, but that is a red herring because that is not why everyone was outraged about the scene at first. No one noticed that until people started dissecting everything about it.

Christians > Trannies

A red herring you threw into the conversation.  Good work Einstein.

I guess it was just like the quarterfinals.  Came up when I searched women’s fencing but seems to mostly just be from this dude
