How do you rate these three wide receivers Garrett Wilson? St. Brown and Justin Jefferson.

Recommended Posts

Tough, I'd put them all 3 in the same tier.

ASB's last season is essentially his ceiling but his floor is also higher than the other two.

Wilson has highest upside, especially in the TD department.  All ties to ARods health.  You think Rodgers plays 15-17 games and Wilson is your #1.

JJ will have 100+ catches, 1500 yards, 6-8 TDs regardless of if its Darnold or Mullens.

I was ready to take Wilson over ASB and JJ the other night in a .5 ppr but then Ceedee fell....otherwise I would've gone Wilson.

This is exactly where my head is at except in the case of Wilson. if Rogers goes down, I think Wilson can still have a great year with Tyrod Taylor at quarterback, Taylor’s better than any other quarterback he played with. I am sure I will have to make this decision at my draft on Sunday.

I keep flip-flopping ... a month ago I would've said St. Brown, Wilson, JJ.  Now I'm JJ, Wilson, St. Brown... starting to lose my concern about JJ's hammy and think there's an over-reaction to his Qb. He's Qb-proof and probably looking at 180+ targets with Hockenson out... and possibly Addison suspended if there's any resolve with his court date in October.

I think Wilson has more upside than St. Brown... doesn't have to share with LaPorta and St. Brown is more of short-yardage dude.

Regardless, probably can't go wrong with any. Should all finish top 10 or damn close to it.

in terms of actual talent it is

Jefferson

Wilson

St Brown

in terms of fantasy points, I rank it like this

Wilson

St Brown

Jefferson

I rank Jefferson third because of his QB situation.   but he is without a doubt the best and most talented WR of the bunch.   but that does you no good if the QB is incapable of consistently getting him the ball.

Where would you put Chase in with these 3?

He is behind Lamb and these three. Tyreek Hill number one. I draft sixth. I just don’t want to deal with contract situations this early in the draft.

For me, this question is as much about draft strategy and your appetite for risk, as it is the players themselves. St Brown is probably the safest, but I feel like I’m trying to guarantee myself 4th place when I draft him. Jefferson, probably the highest floor ceiling combination, while Wilson is the ceiling player that could breakout and be the WR1 if all goes right but WR 28 seems just as likely.

J Jefferson

St Brown

G Wilson

Jefferson is just the best overall WR in the NFL IMO. The only reason this is even a question is because of his QB situation.

St Brown is a close 2nd and is in an ideal situation in Detroit. Although, I can't help but wonder if the Lions will have a bit of regression this season.

G Wilson, I know the talent is there but he's just not had a super season yet. We'll see how the ARod experiment works out in year 2.

That's a huge question right now. Darnold is infamous for imploding after a few games. Can Minnesota support a top 5 WR? If someone is drafting Jefferson in the top 10 then they better be right. Especially if Amon Ra is on the board.

I love Jefferson and he is the best WR in football, IMO. But I can't ignore the QB room.

I think everyone is saying the same thing, both Jefferson and Wilson have a lot of talent, question marks at Qb, Which is a big question mark.   St Brown is the obvious number one pick.

Look at JJ's numbers from his return last season, the last 5 games.

Not too bad.

He basically had about the same season Garrett Wilson had last year, but in 7 less games.

I wouldn't blame anyone for taking St Brown over him, but it's about an even call as far as I see it. That's St Brown at his best, everything going for him, and JJ, at his worst, everything against him. You tip any of that in JJ's favor, I see him as having more potential

I'm kinda sorta on that fence. JJ is obviously the more talented WR with a higher ceiling but in a very volatile situation. Amon Ra is as safe as they come, he's money very single week and can never hurt you. I think I'd prefer Amon Ra at his ADP this season. Because if you're wrong on Jefferson, as a high 1st round pick then you're in trouble.

But I'm with you, I can't blame anyone for going either way, I get it.

That’s how good Jefferson is, even with Darnold at Qb, it’s tough to pick against him.

I can’t say with confidence ASB will finish with the most fantasy points of the three, but I’d draft him over the other 2 guys, simply bc he’s a stud and zero questions about his situation.  JJ has “I see ghosts” Darnold as his QB, and will Rodgers stay upright (I hope so!)
