No. Don't you know that every voting center is surrounded by tsunamis ready to wash over and kill you? Tornados too. And lava. Lot's of lava oozing all over the 10 hour long line of people waiting and suffering there. And if you live on a mountain, and the snow is 40 feet deep on slopes that are at a 45 degree angle, you have to drive through it all for 300 miles to get to the voting center in the first place. 

It's hard to vote unless you get ballots in the mail to be able to mail out from the comfort of you own home. The only hard part about that is figuring out how many of the ballots you receive are you going to send in. And under whose name are you sending it for.

Because that would be racist.  The Democrats said that requiring ID's to vote is racist because black people don't have them.  They also think black people are too poor to have the internet.  Just ask Joe Biden, he'll tell you.  Black people are poor (even though they're just as smart as white people... apparently).  He'll also tell you that Obama is the first intelligent and well spoken black man.  So, if you vote online, you'd need the internet and an ID to verify you are who you say you are.  This is probably why Biden wrote the Crime Bill to put black people in prison for smoking pot.  All that means is that black people can't vote, and thus, it's racist.

In AZ, our absentee ballots are tracked automatically.  I get both a text and email notifying me when my ballot is mailed to me, when they receive mine back, and when it is counted.  I don't need to proactively track anything.

New this year is that they've had some polling places open early.  I chose to drop mine off at such a place instead of mail it in.  That was earlier this week, and I was surprised by the steady stream of people voting.

I couldn't imaging voting in person this time around.  Our ballot was two large sheets of paper, front and back.  In addition to all of the federal, state, county, and city positional elections, we had over 10 state constitutional amendments, another 10 initiatives from the state/county/city, a bunch of judges... if you went into the booth without having researched it, you would be there for an hour or more.

On a side note, my basic strategy was to vote "no" on constitutional amendments unless the amendment makes it harder to propose an amendment; those I voted "yes" for.  I don't understand AZ's obsession with amendments.  We have legislatures whose job it is to make laws.

The last time i voted in person, it was like 5pm, after work (you know people have jobs) the line was 100 deep. There was only 6 "booths" to vote in and Helen, who was checking names/addresses and handing out ballots, who was using her wooden 12 inch ruler to cross out names of people who she gave ballots to wasn't the fastest volunteer. (Bless her for trying)  but there was a process to make sure people voting were registered and nobody was showing up to vote twice.  Helen was on it. (Slowly)

I haven't voted in person since 2016, but the previous 3 elections I scheduled it so that I would go as soon as the polls opened 7AM. Except for 2012, there were at least 50 people waiting when I got there.

The people who say "voting on Election Day is so easy and the votes need to be counted same day!" Must live in BF Nebraska.   My experience is the opposite.  When it's a Tuesday and 3 senior citizens are handling the machines at 5pm when people get off work (god bless them for volunteering) like the city I live in has over 230K people and 12 voting stations.  Cut that in half for kids.  That's still 9,500 potential voters per station.   Imagine the logistics of even bigger cities...?

Heck, when I was 18, the town I lived in was 3 square miles (7 really, but 4 were in the Pinelands and people couldn't build), that had 2k registered voters and had FOUR polling locations.  If the little town I lived in could have 1 polling location per 500 eligible voters, I'd think a larger city would be able to find like 50.

Jersey City is one of the most densely populated cities in the country, and they have about 160k registered voters and they have 36 locations.  Maybe if your state was smarter and better run, they'd have more polling stations.  Seems like common sense to think that the bigger cities would have much easier access to polling locations based on the amount of government buildings they would have.

Elderly?  LOL, where do you live?  Everyone I see at every polling location ranges between 30 and mid 50's.  I lived up in Hoboken for 3 years... I never saw a person at a polling location that was in their 60's.  Like I said, maybe you need to have better people in charge.

I live in CA.  The average age of poll worker's around here I would guess is 55.  Only because there is one 25 year old helper bringing down the average.  It's almost like, we live a big country with different experiences. CRAZY!   Also, Hoboken. What a destination for great Government.

Agreed.  I just thought it was interesting that you thought that only backwoods, nowhere places, had easy voting.  NJ is a Democrat cesspool up north, and those elections run smoothly.  Same with cities that are more conservative in South Jersey.  I just don't understand why a state like CA would have a town with 250k people (probably 150k register voters), would only have 12 polling locations.  It's almost like they want to make it inconvenient to vote on purpose.  Wonder why they'd want that?

Fair enough.  Imagine how all the residents here ask those questions as well!  That's why so many of us Vote By Mail.  My vote has already been logged and counted and there is a website I can confirm that on.  You would think if Elon wanted to get into Politics so bad, (without bad intentions) he would invent a system where verified and registered citizen voters could vote on "V" an app he would create in conjunction with the Government and make it easier for anyone, no matter who they we're voting for..

I voted in person the other day.  Took me all of 20 minutes and was a very pleasant experience.

At this stage in our country’s history the most important overriding factor should be security and timely results.  And that’s best achieved by voting in person or through selective, reasonable absentee ballots for those who legitimately can’t get to the polls.

Honestly, I've never heard anyone say they LOVE their school board. Liberal or Conservative.  But I'm also very against my tax dollars going to Private schools.  I don't have any kids. But I get a vote.  (Shrugs)
