No. Tim's possibly right about the two years thing. For the party out of power to impeach the president, it takes more than throwing a temper tantrum since nobody cares. To get anywhere, they have to have majority control of the House of Representatives. The Dems' next opportunity at relevance is in the midterm elections. if the Dems can retake the House then, good grief, we can look forward to a third, fourth, fifth, and sixth impeachment because their beehive is being joyfully and mercilessly kicked repeatedly two thousand miles down the road. These a-holes are getting smacked with a hundred bazillion micro-aggressions and are going to be spending the next two years getting really, really pissed off beyond measure.

I think the Democrats would need to regain the house to start weaponizing impeachment again.  

But, on the bright side if you look around, they learned nothing from this past election and are doubling down on the stupidity that helped conservatives secure power.  So hopefully they stay out of power and cannot abuse the systems of government.

How do people not understand this process? The majority party controls the committees in Congress. The committees determine what will be investigated. If Trump were to be investigated in the next two years he would have to have killed someone live on Fox and Friends..and then maybe.

Trump took the oath of office just two weeks ago and look at what he has accomplished.  This is probably the most impactful 2 weeks in our country’s history.  Awesome.   He has exceeded even my expectations.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed Tuesday that recruitment figures for the military show how interest in serving is quickly rising under the leadership of President Donald Trump.

Hegseth revealed that the Army and Navy had their best recruitment totals in 12 years in December 2024, the first full month after Trump was re-elected.

That was followed by the best recruiting numbers in 15 years as of January 2025, the month in which Trump officially took office.

I think you might be partially correct.   I think Trump knows very well from his last time in office that a swath of the government actively worked against him instead of for him and by extension the American people.   So he is looking to route out that corrupt segment of government.   I think in Musk he has perhaps found a guy who lives for efficiency, and he is using Muck to do what the man just loves to do.

In the process he is rather effectively making headway in removing partisans.
