I don't happen to think Allen had the first down. Had it been called so on the field It would have stayed a first down so I guess I understand the skepticism over why it was called short when the 2 refs seemed to disagree initially. And the play that was ruled a catch... It seemed to me like the ball was possessed when it hit the ground (albeit by 2 players at the same time) so I was fine with that being a catch as well. everyone is hyper focused on calls or non calls the chiefs get. The fact that the official who had better position had the correct spot but was overruled by the official that was blocked was terrible. The ball should've been re-spotted closer and then measured. But I can tell you, it's much better than being a fan of the team that went from 1994 to 2014 without a playoff win. Or going 50 years without making it to a Super Bowl. Kudos to the Bills. They had a great season, played a hell of a game but once again just came up short. And year after year it seems they are always right there, just haven't found a way to knock off the Chiefs when it mattered. Brad Childress, Doug Pederson, Matt Nagy...aren't setting the world on fire. It's Andy calling the plays and running the offense, and hiring away Spags from the Chiefs isn't hiring the second coming of Andy Reid. I agree just a tad on the officiating, and for me it is mostly how Mahomes gets undeserved roughing the passer calls. But the reality is, the rest of your post is pretty accurate. They remind me a lot of the Pats during their dynasty. They both do/did the little things well which make the difference between winning and losing against other good teams in the playoffs. They haven't when it mattered in the most critical instances, for it most part in recent years.
