Do you need someone to read the article to you?

It's a rotation of different media outlets.  The four moving out are full members of the Pentagon Press Corps.  But OMG let's flip out.

"To be clear, the outlets that vacate the spaces loaned them by the Secretary (of Defense) will remain full members of the Pentagon Press Corps," John Ullyot, acting assistant to the secretary of defense for public affairs.
"The only change will be giving up their physical work spaces in the building to allow new outlets to have their turn to become resident members of the Pentagon Press Corps."

The memo on a "New Annual Media Rotation Program" said it would also remove National Public Radio, Comcast Corp-owned NBC News (CMCSA.O), opens new tab and Politico, which must vacate their spaces by Feb. 14. In their place, it would give dedicated office space to the New York Post, One America News Network, Breitbart News Network and HuffPost News.

Another step toward autocracy and the dictatorship you idiots so desire.

This is a great move. One Dilanian is an IC asset. He was disowned by the LA Times because he got caught working for the CIA. This is a fact sh!tlibs.

Clearly a highly  partisan move.  One wonders, however, why any media outlet is given permanent, dedicated office space in a government building.  The press should have equal access to the briefing room and questions anwsered during briefings should be rotated amoung the media both present and attending remotely, but giving dedicated office space to a private entity in a government building, I do not support that. Now this move at least does not give permanent office space to the new partisan outlets which are replacing the old partisan outlets, but why give any valuable office space?

You can thank our corrupt politicians for that. The Smith-Mundt Modernization act of 2012 permitted the state dept to funnel info through the media.

I get that the media has a role in disseminating and amplifying information.  That is good and proper. I don't see why they need office space in government buildings to do their job.  Access to government information and personnel does not depend upon office space in government buildings.

Agreed. I never heard of this. @Dizkneelande what is your issue with Smith-Mundt? I am not familiar with it. With this access, are there just 4 rooms, and they kicked out the 4 left leaning for 4 right leaning?

ok, thanks, does sound suspect per that article anyway.

Does anyone know if there are more than the 4 rooms?

More than two dozen news organizations operate out of the Pentagon.

thanks. not sure what to think about this. having 12 outlets in there says more transparency vs spreading propaganda to me, but with what dizkneelande posted its still suspect.

I thought the propaganda war against us was established by Obama?

It was a bipartisan effort to propagandize us just like the patriot act which allowed them to spy on us. Republicans were too stupid to realize our bureaucracies were loaded with radical leftists.  Or, they knew and are/were also radical leftists doing cosplay.

Nobody should think this is a good thing regardless of sides. All of these “journalists” have skeletons. The IC knows their entire life history and all their dirty little secrets.

Just to provide more clarity to how great a scope of news organizations work in the Pentagon building, "more than 2 dozen" is 25 or more.

Free speech?  The free press that covers the WH hid Bidens decline until it was too obvious to hide.

Censorship has been going on a long time.
