I just cannot fathom how a person who was not elected, but hired by someone elected has access to my social security number that was assigned to me by the administrative arm of the federal government.  How does anyone hired by the government know my social security number and other information?

Millions of people file Federal Income Taxes every year.  You literally give your SSN, W2, 1099, how much your house is worth, your rental properties, if you cashed out any investment accounts etc.  ALL to the federal government. Of which 99% are workers, not "elected", but hired.

I think that for the time being I’m going to stop criticizing Musk here. Let’s see where this goes. I honestly don’t mind cutting waste out of government so long as it done thoughtfully and legally; I suspect in both cases it isn’t. But I also suspect that almost all of what is happening here is performative. So I’m going to leave this alone unless there are further confrontations between Trump and the judges- that part interests me. Let’s revisit this in 6 months and evaluate.

I am down with this.  I think we need to see more happen.   I think there are foreign investments that make sense and ones that do not.  I absolutely wants the ones that do not to be ended.

All I need to see is what's happening right now.   Democrats are absolutely furious... NOT at the actual programs being targets (i.e., trans operas and such), but the groups (i.e. USAID).  This tells me that they don't care where the actual money is going, but how it's getting there.  It tells me that there's even more than what we know about.

I also see the Republicans very quiet.  If they were on the side of stopping this, they'd be all gung ho in criticizing and pointing specific bills and whatnot, that had ear marks they don't like.  But they're mum.  That tells me that they're just as guilty.
