Musk tells us Biden refused his help bringing down stranded space station team many months ago.

Recommended Posts

It was 100% political. Biden didn't want Musk to be viewed as a hero just before the election. Scumbag Biden left them up there to rot.

That was the biggest thing I took away from the Musk Interview yesterday.

It's absolutely disgusting what that administration did to those two. Just because it was election time.

I'd love to hear the lefties we have around here offer an opinion on this subject.

I doubt Biden even knew.  He’s been in space a lot longer than those astronaut heroes. This is 100% on the ghouls in the Democrat Party apparatus.

My opinion is that it's BS.  Musk lies a lot.  Trump lies a lot.  And their lies are disputed by many including the astronauts themselves.

Actually, the $200 million that Musk wanted for an extra launch was the real reason NASA chose to simply wait and bring the astronauts back on an already planned mission. But in Skippy’s mind, everything centers around Maye Musk’s little boy, Elon, and his infantile ego.

“That's been the narrative from day one: stranded, abandoned, stuck—and I get it,” Butch told CNN in February, “but that is, again, not what our human spaceflight program is about.”

He continued, “We don’t feel abandoned, we don’t feel stuck, we don’t feel stranded.”

So the "stranded" astronaut is telling us he's not stranded, but you're gonna argue that he is?

How do you decide who is telling the truth then?

Its not easy, but when you look at the big picture, you have the astronauts themselves, other astronauts on the ISS, NASA, Biden and others vs Musk and Trump, and we know that Musk and Trump are huge liars and will say anything to benefit them politically, I will believe the former.

Nothing in your article says the astronauts dispute Musk.  In fact, they specifically say there may have been conversations they weren't privy to and that they have no reason to doubt Musk.

Musk claims they were abandoned.  The astronauts say they weren't abandoned.  That's a direct dispute of Musk.

Regarding politics, they don't want to get into politics understandably so.

Another astronaut objected to Musk, to which Musk called him "fully retarded."

Musk is not a stable or reliable person.

So the astronauts weren't privy to these meetings, that even the head of NASA wasn't aware took place.  Sure is amazing, that none of the higher-ups at NASA heard of this offer.

Quote

Bill Nelson, who served as NASA administrator last summer when the decisions about what to do about Williams and Wilmore were being made, told the Washington Post that the option of an earlier return “certainly did not come to my attention.” Nelson said, “There was no discussion of that whatsoever. Maybe he [Musk] sent a message to some lower-level person.”

Quote

Ken Bowersox, NASA’s associate administrator for space operations, said, “I think there may have been some conversations that I wasn’t part of.” But he said the option to fly a separate mission to the space station to retrieve the astronauts was “ruled out pretty quickly.”

Quote

Steve Stich, the program manager for NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, said after the determination was made that Williams and Wilmore should not return on the Boeing Starliner, NASA officials met with SpaceX officials and considered “a wide range of options” and ultimately decided to attach the astronauts to the previously scheduled Crew-9 mission.

Quote

Also at the NASA press conference was Bill Gerstenmaier, vice president of building flight reliability at SpaceX, but he declined to provide specifics about Musk’s offer to bring the astronauts home earlier.

Gerstenmaier said SpaceX was “always ready to support NASA in any way we can.” He said NASA and SpaceX “collectively” came up with “the idea of just flying two crew up on Crew-9, having the seats available for Suni and Butch to come home, and that’s what NASA wanted, and that fit their plans. That allowed them to use Suni and Butch in a very productive manner, make them part of the crew on board station and make really a seamless integration and keep the science going on station and keep pushing research.”

Tellingly, the VP declined to provide specifics of the offer(most likely.cause it didn't exist, but you keep up your fight to reflexively argue the position of the right, despite lacking any evidence what-so-ever.  Good job, good effort.

I do find it a little weird that the rescue happened less than 2 months after the administration changed. About the right amount of time to get the approval and come up with a rescue plan.

It's pretty obvious that Musk and Trump are exceeding expectations in most areas.

The biggest shift we have ever seen in our country. I'm glad it's happening.

I don't fully trust Musk, but Trump has him under control. I appreciate him bringing home the astronauts.

The SpaceX flight was planned back in August.  It wasn't a rescue, nor did it take any planning or approvals.

Jesus you mooks will believe anything.

March 19

Net -4 approval rating: A March 7-11 NBC News poll of 1,000 registered voters found 47% approve of Trump and 51% disapprove (margin of error 3.1).

I don't trust NBC. It doesn't really matter. Trump is the president. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

I was sorta thinking this as well. I mean, unless Biden expressly said this then its just Musk interpreting.  Now, to be fair, he is probably correct of course, but he likely does not have real proof.

Of course, it could be worse, he could be lying about inflation, his cognitive ability, some laptop etc....so at least this is non impactful

Im not sure if its totally true or not.  Havent even read this thread.

But its sort of like how lefties and Kamala were against Trumps warp speed vax because they didnt want him to get credit for anything.  But then ended up pushing it on everyone.

This right here.   All politicians lie to a certain extent.  Its like no one here grew up being told "dont ever trust a politician".

The left thinks Trump is bad and lies and doesnt care about the every day person.   Insinuating they think Biden or any high up Dem actually does give a shlt.

I can speak for myself here, and I think outside of a handful of righties here, Trump exaggerates and tells lies sometimes.   Trump probably doesnt give 2 craps about me or you.   But none of them do.

I do like DOGE however.   Ill take any transparency in this day and age.  Through time, any citizens right or left has asked "how are my tax dollars being spent"  or "there as to be fraud within these government agencies".  Dems absolutely would have been preaching this at one point not all that long ago.   But now because its Trump uncovering it, they some how think its bad.

Would there be a better way to do it?  Sure, in a perfect world.   You have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet in this imperfect world.  Im all for any sort of transparency.   The vast majority of people didnt know we send some of our tax dollars to fund things like trans crap in some bumfock country.  The amount of our tax dollars that disappear or go to frivolous things in some crap country is mind blowing and ridiculous while many parts of thr country are in poverty or have to drive on ridiculous neglected roadways.
