Actually I used to think this was a likely or possible outcome but the global markets seem to be moving to just block the US out and turn to each other. Similar thing happened with the UK & Brexit.

Other countries are making trade deals and shutting out the US. 

Trump isn't "destroying the global economy". Just the US economy. Which was the best in the world before he was elected.

And the MAGA rally goers cheer, probably because they have nothing to lose anyway. They're not the crowd that saves in their 401k every year, they're the losers who blame immigrants and Obama for their lack of wealth.

The biggest joke - really it's a sick joke - is that the banging on about Musk's faux department's savings and the cutting of the trade deficit is that the bond yield fluctuations may cost the government another Trillion $$$$ in debt load. The whole thing is a massive waste of time and extremely costly, even if we do manage to get out of this with minor damage.
