This might be the only way to increase fertility rates, combined with solving the housing shortage. In a nutshell, it's too damn expensive to have kids when you're young enough to have them.

This is actually not true and just stupid because we can point to studies that say were approaching birth rates that cannot support the population. Japan is already there. Japan is going to need robots to serve it's population. It literally only takes a simple search of "population decline US" to see tons of articles about this. I don't know that it's the only cause. 

But women working and having careers will delay starting a family, but the costs of raising a child are enormous now, too. We also have more access to birth control, so we have control over when we have kids and with whom. It's also becoming "normal" to not have kids at all. 

Obesity and exposure to environmental toxins can also cause more infertility in general.

I’m talking about Trump’s motivation. It absolutely is true. If he wanted more people he would simply let more immigrants in. Open up our southern borders, that will give us all the people we need. But Trump and his most devout followers don’t want THOSE people. Gotta be white.

The quickest way to increase childbirth is increase income. What if each child is equivalent to 50k annually off your income. Someone who makes 200k has 3-4 kids, that puts them in the lowest income tax bracket.

I look around the world at all of the black and brown countries and I think they really have it together and wouldn’t it be great if we were just like them? Especially considering whites are only 10 pct of the world population but they seem to be dominant in the most hospitable countries. As if soft Tim would ever live in a black or brown country. I am going to revise my previous comment and say that I am closer to believing that feminism is higher on the list than the other issues I mentioned. Did some reading/research yesterday. And then the comment above about "black and brown countries" and how they have so many people. 

So, if you're actually willing to have a decent conversation about these countries, you have to look at how they treat each other socially. A lot the women don't work, stay at home to take care of the home, the children and the elderly. I work with several Indian people and they find it very odd that when a woman has a baby, there is really no one there to take care of her. In India, the mother lives with the family, if not very close by. She, aunties, and several other family members come and help. The US doesn't really have a social system where that occurs. Many of us move away from out families of origin. 

The US showed that this also isn't really what women want; to be the housewife-mother. Both by sending them into the workforce post WW2, and how they are treated when they try to have a career, family, and essentially try to "do it all."  In the 50s many ended up alcoholic, addicted to drugs, and/or in institutions. Women wanted more than just their husband, children, and home and the "illnesses" they had didn't have a name. They do now; anxiety, depression, addiction. 

I know you do't really care, but the book "The Feminine Mystique" touches a lot on how society (aka men) thought that women's fulfillment would come from being housewife-mothers. Women who were truly feminine wouldn't WANT to work.
