Conservatives demand immediate arrest of former FBI director James Comey after he 'called for assassination' of Trump

Recommended Posts

When Trump said “march peacefully and patriotically “ to the capitol, that was code for insurrection.

So here’s the difference I am married to an attractive woman. Trump is an 80 year old man who paints his face like a betch, dyes his hair, and wears male version of spanx 😂

He’s a real dandy!

Him and his husband each have their own toy poodles that they love to dress up and carry with them everywhere they go.

He also said everyone needed to fight like hell or they wouldn't have a country anymore

He should know better. You don't make jokes like this.

I learned that lesson. In one of my lowest moments, I'd done it myself, wishing death on the Bushtard. Then deleted the post when I got called out -rightly- about it. I was just a denizen of a lightly trafficked fantasy football site, not a former FBI director who you'd think would be held to a higher standard.

As it has been mentioned multiple times as a whataboutism in the two threads pertaining to this I am going to say "Yes. many folks remember that".  Me, I found it inappropriate and yet still a bit funny.  Also, I note that the person putting it forward did so taking responsibility for what was clearly meant as humor (whether appreciated or not) since it was on their truck.  They did not post it cryptically and then back away from their message.  Comey has been a weasel here.  He posted it and now tries, unconvincingly, to not take responsibility for it.  Had he come out and said he saw the formation, he thought it a not too cryptic message that Trump needs to be 86'd, (meaning ousted from the office through impeachment) one might admire him, even if they disagreed.  By being a mealy-mouthed weasel he just looks pathetic.

I wasn’t comparing Comey to the guy who had the message on his truck. I was comparing him to Trump who posted the image of the truck.

And the reason I brought it up was to remind people that Donald Trump has a long history of promoting political violence, or supposed jokes that seem to suggest political violence, or hints of political violence, etc. like no other figure in American history. There is no close second. I bring this is up not in defense of Comey or in any way a justification or excuse of Comey, but to put in some context the overly aggressive “righteous” outrage of the MAGA crowd over this incident.

I am so sick of effing libtards.  Comey's FBI had plots to cover up the Hunter laptop story.  Comey's FBI instigated the plot to kidnap Whktmer.  The same team of FBI agents were recruited to instigated the J6 insurrection.  The assassination attempt on Trump was allowed to happen. Every libtard can go to h e double l.

None of this is true. Well maybe the first sentence (and perhaps the last one.)

I have heard 86 throughout my lifetime as the remove from list/off the menu form. I had never tied it to violence. I would then believe most people would agree. You claim Comey posted it cryptically. It seems much more reasonable that Comey posted it with the widely common meaning of remove. Someone said to him, hey some people tie that to violence, and he takes it down and posts why. What is weasely about that? There isn't a person out there crying about this that is a man.

86 literally means 8x6 which is the dimensions of a grave. What are graves for? When someone uses 86 in a sentence about a person, what do you think that means?

The fact that you somehow think that it doesn't have anything to do with violence is a bit absurd. You're either incredibly ignorant or you're being willfully ignorant. Which is it?

If someone was talking about impeaching Trump, why would they just not say 25 47 instead?

Jack Posobiec and Matt Gaetz don’t think 86 means kill.  Well, they used to at least.

Where did the term 86d come from?

AI Overview

The term "86'd" originates from several potential sources, with the most common being a restaurant industry slang term meaning "out of stock" or "removed from the menu." Other theories include a New York speakeasy, military slang, and even bartender practices related to alcohol proof.

Here's a more detailed look at the possible origins:
  • .Opens in new tab
The term is widely used in restaurants to indicate that an item is unavailable, either because it's sold out or has been removed from the menu.

  • .Opens in new tab
One theory suggests the term originated at Chumley's, a speakeasy at 86 Bedford Street in New York City. During Prohibition, the bar staff might have used "86" to signal patrons to exit through the back door during police raids.

  • .Opens in new tab
Some believe it came from military slang, possibly related to the Korean War and the F-86 fighter jet, or from a military article on AWOL (Absence Without Leave).

  • .Opens in new tab
In the past, whiskey was often available in 100 proof and 86 proof options. Bartenders might have "86'd" a patron who was showing signs of inebriation by switching their drinks to the less potent 86 proof liquor.

  • .Opens in new tab
Another theory suggests the term came from soup kitchens during the Great Depression. If a soup pot only held 85 cups, the 86th person would be out of luck.

  • .Opens in new tab
The letters "T" and "O" on a rotary phone would correspond to the numbers 8 and 6, respectively. In some military contexts, "T.O." meant "throw out" or "terminate."

  • .Opens in new tab
"86" rhymes with "nix," which means to refuse or cancel something.

While there are several plausible origins, the most widely accepted explanation is the restaurant industry slang, where "86'd" means "out of stock" or "removed from the menu."

You missed the whole point. That term has been used by others in similar but different ways since the 1930s. Everyone knows that restaurants use it.

Jeez. Just give it up.

I have heard this grave dimension thing for the first time in relation to this matter, never before.  I note only that I doubt it as it is an incomplete dimension.  If you are going to give grave dimensions why not the width also?

When restaurants "86" an item, what's the end result?  I'm guessing disposal and elimination.  Destruction.  No longer exist in any form or fashion.  No?
