It’s hard to believe this was on for 23 years.  Reali was very good and would be a better game show host in non-sports than most in that realm.  I hope he lands on his feet.

He once had a salary of $2M a year, cut to $1M and Celebrity Net Worth lists him at $7M (seems low with that salary). Not too shabby.

I disagree with AI here  I think focusing on race, gender and politics for a sports show is absolutely going “woke”. Especially based on the stances the program took, or were told to take

Did “the program” take many stances, or just some of the guests on it?  Reali made a point of saying recently that he just let people say what they wanted.

I’m sure most if not all of the people complaining that it was “too woke” haven’t watched it in 10+ years.  Honestly neither have I, but again as far as I can tell ratings weren’t the issue.

From the Dan Patrick interview I took away Reali’s use of mute button was an issue.  I watched a lot in the early years but haven’t in recent years.  Was he letting the woke commentary go too long or not long enough?

Women's sports are being jammed up.  Before they started letting the transgenders in, you may recall there was a bit of a narrative that women were as good as men in sports to an extent. Recall McEnroe being raked for saying Serena Williams would be ranked like 270th.  Or all the BS about wnba and women's soccer. 

Now we see what happens when average dudes compete with women.  They just dominate.

I think Kornheiser and Wilbon are complete idiots...  Terrible in the written medium, pretty sure it is the same junk in the spoken word...

It was on for like 25 years. Thats a good run. Haven’t watch it or PTI for more than 5 minutes in years.

Did see him on the DP show and tuned into watch a bit of the finale. That was pretty cool how they showed all the people that worked there, all the kids born to people who worked there. The tributes of the guests to the show were good as well.

I've never read them, but I find them personable enough and the show keeps me quasi current on what's happened in sports. It's an easy way to burn 22 minutes when I'm on the treadmill in the morning---like to watch yesterday's show + Jeopardy.  They also get some pretty good guests for 5 good minutes.

After decades on this site---clearly "complete idiot" isn't exactly a deal breaker.

Agree.  I did think it was interesting how most of the people seemed to be in a good mood.  Except for the staff in the DC studio, they looked kinda pissed.   Of course losing your job could do that to you.

I’ve listened to a few of Reali’s interviews in recent days and he’s generally shied away from naming his favorite panelists, but had a few comments about how he thought the best debater was Sarah Spain.
