There were a couple of lefties making poor choices with their posts. Me and some others called them out for it. But it was nothing remotely close to the vitriol and violence flung at everyone left of DJT. There was ONE right-leaning poster here that called it out. Two at the most. While mostly lefties were sorrowful about the murder, some righties here were literally talking about killing libs and piling their bodies to the moon. Show me the leftie equivalent. I'll wait.

I learned more and more that liberals are not what they claim they are.  Over the last few years I've seem them move further and further to the left.  When I first registered to vote as an 18 year old I did so as a Democrat because that's what my parents were and that's who I felt I best fit with.  They have changed drastically.  They have become much more extreme.  I consider myself in the middle but find myself agreeing more and more with conservatives.  I can no longer support much of what the left stands for.

The left and right have become far more extreme and partisan over the past 10-15 years. The middle of the road types moderate Dems/Reps are all basically business as usual pro corporate shills. The rank and file have become much more hateful towards one another. 

I agree with @Frozenbeernuts that it’s a game the parties play. Keep the pawns in a constant state of anger and people keep arguing and going to the polls. Meanwhile, on the big ticket issues that matter basically nothing changes.
