Gepetto 1,435 Posted October 6 Neither. Not sure what NFL you're watching, or why MVP would be discussed after 5 games. 17 game season. Slow your roll.

The Elevator Killer 671 Posted 9 hours ago Baker again. Starting running back out. Top 4 receivers out. 2 starting offensive linemen out. He makes the most of what's left and wins. What other player means more to their team than Baker? If you put back all those pieces and don't have Baker are the Bucs 5-1? Probably not.

edjr 6,820 Posted 6 hours ago Candlestick maker. Good job by the Browns (shocking) to waste another #1 talent If Stafford doesn't get hurt and Mayfield come in to play, none of this ever happens

He had done less than nothing up till he became a FA after being with the Rams. Was it a Sunday night game he had a great comeback win for the Rams? Arians may have signed him still. Who knows. Doesn't mean he would have got the same shot

Good job by the Browns (shocking) to waste another #1 talent If Stafford doesn't get hurt and Mayfield come in to play, none of this ever happens Now, we all know GM's lie... but, assuming Jason Licht is telling the truth (and he has no reason to, because this doesn't make him look good), he claimed that he had Baker Mayfield as the #1 QB in that draft. That tells me that he had Mayfield rated higher than both Allen and Jackson... whom he could've drafted. That being said, if he did have Mayfield as the best QB in the 2018 draft, then he's probably signing him regardless of how he played in Carolina. It's not like Mayfield played all that great in LA. His metrics were in line with what he did in Cleveland and was 1-3. That's not a ringing endorsement. On top of that, it's not like Mayfield got a big deal. Apparently, other teams offered him more than what Tampa did ($4M), but he was told he'd be given a chance to compete for the starting job. According to Mayfield, other teams offered him more, to be the backup. So yeah, I think the Bucs try to sign him no matter what happened in LA.
