I know I’m late to the party here, but Olive Garden is absolute crap

Recommended Posts

Not sure I’d ever eaten there before, but my company ordered it for lunch today: salad, meatballs and spaghetti, grilled chicken, sausage marinara, etc.

I skipped it for lunch but had to stay late for a call so I heated some up for dinner. Terrible, chicken and sausage all chewy and fake tasting. And an hour and a half later, I’m still farting like I’m gonna shiit my pants.

TIA

Wife and i dont hate it.  We go there once in a while.  Their salad and breadsticks are still excellent.  And i always get the chicken parm.   Its usually decent.  Probably depends on the store

Meh, I used to hate it and hadn't been there for years, but my partner wanted to go, and it was actually pretty good. The salad and bread sticks are great. We'd go back.

And he wonders why so many of us see this in the threads. I read nothing of his.

My kids like it so I have to go 1 maybe 2x a year. It sucks. Even the breadsticks.  But like all these fast casual places, the beer is ice cold.  They know what they are doing with that.

I haven't eaten there in probably 15 years.  I have an amazing authentic Mom and Pop Italian place right up the street.  But I do find it funny that someone would judge the quality of a restaurant based upon reheated food.

There is no reason to ever go to Olive garden as long as you live anywhere near a decent city with access to real Italian food.

I've been there once on a suggestion from a blind date.  Should have known it would never work out.

If you know anything about Italian food much of it tastes better the next day.

That's all well and good, but it's still a crappy way to judge a restaurant.  But you do you, Trolly Mr. Contrary.

Wow. I just had that conversation earlier at my son’s winter workout.

True and I think it also tastes better when it's home made (depending on the cook of course). My wife cooks very good za and sketti, but the few times I've ever ordered them at a restaurant - borf. And those were nice restaurants. I imagine Olive Garden wouldn't be all that.

But I liked them as a broke teenager. God bless those breadsticks.

My kids can't eat meatballs from a restaurant and can't eat store bought sauce.

The only time it ever might be good is if you eat there, definitely not catering
