Well, I’m probably going to give you an answer that disappoints you, since I’m not in favor of throwing out all the illegals and closing our borders completely. But here are my thoughts:

 

I do think we need to do a better job of vetting the people who come in. But I also think that accepting people applying for asylum is important,too. If someone is truly trying to get out of a hell hole situation, and wants to come here and go through the proper channels, they should be allowed. As long as they aren’t serious criminals. Maybe we come up with some sort of ratio of asylum seekers vs professional type immigrants.

 

The path to legal immigration should be easier to navigate, so the people who want to be legal, can be.

 

Anchor babies should be a hard no.

 

I’m all for giving some of these people a helping hand to get started, but not indefinitely.
