Similarly, the Neo Nazis in Charlottesville were not the original group who organized rally to protest the removal of historical statues. The khaki wearers showed up and co-opted the event in Charlottesville. Due to lack of normal police procedures and an antagonizing throng of radical lefties attacking the Neo Nazis, all hell broke loose. One of the Neo Nazis drove into a crowd and a girl died. The people who organized the peaceful rally in protest of statue removal were not involved with the Neo Nazi group or their actions.
