How much $$$ has this place cost you? Personally?

Recommended Posts

Consider the amount of time and effort you've pixxed away wallowing in this cesspool of the Internet, what's the monetary figure you lost due to you being a dumbass and posting here? Consider any and all factors. Including not having to pay for a psychotherapist, also include lost productivity and furthering your knowledge of your profession.

None.

If not for FFToday, I'd just be wasting my time somewhere else online.

I've been out a few bucks from buying some things some of you have suggested. Other than that when I was in the military looking in this site it didn't lose any money cause I was on a salary wage

Nice

I've still got the qbud. When the boys out grow the bunks I'll make the switch to a park model. A full fridge sure would be nice.

Back to topic. Volty , do you really think you could waste as much time somewhere else. Plus, most of us post from work.

Oh, I'm sure I could. I've become an expert at pissing away my time.

I post mainly from work. I'm here for 11-12 hours a day (depending on if you include commute time or not) and yet only have 3 thirty minute classes, another half our of greeting the children -blah blah- in the morning, about 5-10 minutes of bye-bye and 5-10 minutes of prep time each day.

So in other words: 2 hours and change of my 11 hours being here is for work and the other nine is fock off time. The school doesn't care if I spend those nine fock off hours online or watching movies or playing computer games.

I do wish though that I could just come in in the morning, do my 10 minutes of prep time, knock out my three classes back to back to back and go home before lunch. Sadly, that's not how it works. I had a job like that before though, the pay was mediocre but that was when I had "my own school" (cough cough) too.

Sounds like you're laying the groundwork for a class-action suit against Mike. :ninja:

I hear you. My school is like that too. I have 160 minutes a day of class. But I am required to be here from 7:30 to 11:40, back at 2:30 till 5:30.

I really wish we could do a normal one hour lunch and get out of here earlier, but the three hour lunch break is like sacred to these people. Eat and siesta.

time... doesn't really matter because the easy answer is that everyone has time wasters. I often have the browser open on my phone but am not actively checking FFT because I am actually working.

I have probably saved some money via tips and suggestions gained from this place. some free golf balls come to mind, also I rarely go to dry cleaners anymore since, i believe Edjr posted an awesome tip for either wrinkle free or extremely passable dress shirts. I don't waste time ironing (which i hated and thus brought dress shirt to the cleaners)... I now only dry clean suits and a few coats after the winter months. I learned about slickdeals from this place although I don't believe I ever purchased anything from their tips. Also, might have actually been my suggestion but if you use bing as a search engine, all you have to do is sign up and you will earn search credits that can ultimately be redeemed for gift cards (amazon etc) or have money donated to charities.

finally, I have joined a few $$ fantasy leagues through contacts on this site and between wins, 2nds and 3rds I am probably ahead close to a grand when you subtract the entry fees. Plus, being that this was the only site I used for FF research when I was a teenager and is one of the few I use now, It's helped me cash in most of my home leagues as well. As a side note to that, my longest running and best home league is entering its 11th season this year. In the past 10 seasons I made the title game 7 times. I won 0 titles  . You would think I could throw darts for my lineup and win at least 1 of those 7 title games. So in 10 years I have 7 2nds, 1 3rd (this past season) and 2 years of missing the playoffs. And to add to the hilarity, the 3rd place finish this year was because Matt Fucking Prater shanked a field goal at the end of week 15 against the Saints and i lost by 1. My team then proceeded to score by far the most points in week 16

Is this why you don't post as much as you did before?

Not really. I got tired of the bs and the 'reporting' people to get them banned.

Between FF and the boatload of swag I have won in the NCAA hat tournaments, I am net positive.
