Kristi Noem Wants Migrants to Compete for Citizenship on New Reality Show
squistion posted a topic in The Geek Club
I doubt this is real news, but, honesty, it wouldn't surprise me if it were true. https://www.thedailybeast.com/kristi-noem-wants-migrants-to-compete-for-citizenship-on-hunger-games-style-reality-show/ Kristi Noem reportedly wants the U.S. citizenship process to play out in front of the cameras. The Homeland Security secretary has been working with writer and producer Rob Worsoff to pitch a reality TV show—titled The American—where immigrants will compete in a string of challenges across the country “for the honor of fast-tracking their way to U.S. citizenship,” according to the Daily Mail. Citing a copy of Worsoff’s 35-page program pitch, the Daily Mail reported that the Canadian-born producer aims to “celebrate what it means to be American and have a national conversation about what it means to be American, through the eyes of the people who want it most.” Worsoff is best known for producing the A&E reality show Duck Dynasty. Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told the Daily Beast that the show’s concept is under consideration, though she denied that Noem had reviewed the pitch in question. The concept is “in the very beginning stages” of the vetting process, she added, and approval has not been given—or denied. “The Department of Homeland Security receives hundreds of television show pitches a year,” she said in a statement. “Each proposal undergoes a thorough vetting process prior to denial or approval.” McLaughlin denied Noem’s involvement in the project, though unnamed sources told the Daily Mail that the Homeland Security secretary supports it and wants it to proceed. The Daily Beast has also reached out to Worsoff’s representatives for comment. -
Trump threatens Nigeria with potential military action >>ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) — U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday said he’s ordered the Pentagon to begin planning for potential military action in Nigeria as he stepped up his allegations that the government is failing to rein in the persecution of Christians in the West African country. The president also warned that he “will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria.” “If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities,” Trump posted on social media. “I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians!” The warning came after Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu earlier on Saturday pushed back on Trump announcing a day earlier that he was designating the West African country “a country of particular concern” for allegedly failing to rein in the persecution of Christians. In a social media statement on Saturday, Tinubu said that the characterization of Nigeria as a religiously intolerant country does not reflect the national reality. “Religious freedom and tolerance have been a core tenet of our collective identity and shall always remain so,” Tinubu said. “Nigeria opposes religious persecution and does not encourage it. Nigeria is a country with constitutional guarantees to protect citizens of all faiths.” …<<

A white MAGA dude shot another white MAGA dude, and MAGA world responded by threatening HBCU’s with violence, and is now attacking trans people too. This isn’t a mystery. White supremacists are violent; and sometimes that violence hits one of their own. Every other ‘’explanation” or “‘theory” is just deflection from the sad reality of this disgusting movement.

🇺🇸Father Trump Talk-🚨The Official Thread of MAGA🚨 It’s Go Time

Well will you look at this Based on our initial set of audits, more than $1B of federal taxpayer dollars were being spent on funding Medicaid for illegal immigrants. And my team is getting it back. Some want to deny that illegal immigrants are receiving Medicaid. Others insist it’s illegal for Medicaid to cover illegal immigrants. And others accurately point out that hospitals can provide emergency services to illegal immigrants under the program. We can all agree on this: rooting out fraud, waste, and abuse is essential to protecting this program for the most vulnerable. It’s also one of the Trump Administration’s top priorities. Let me lay down the facts: The truth is that federal law is supposed to prohibit federal Medicaid dollars broadly from being used to cover illegal immigrants. It does permit states to use Medicaid dollars for emergency treatment, regardless of patients’ citizenship or immigration status. States can also legally build Medicaid programs for illegal immigrants using their own state tax dollars, so long as no federal tax dollars are used. But that didn’t stop Democrats from going even further by breaking federal law to give illegal immigrants federal Medicaid dollars meant for American citizens. Earlier this year, the CMS team began auditing state Medicaid programs to ensure they were following the law and not spending any federal tax dollars on illegal immigrants outside of emergency Medicaid. What we found was shocking. In a preliminary review of 6 states, we found those states improperly using federal tax dollars for their allegedly state-funded program and providing coverage to individuals, including some with criminal records of murder and assault. Those states are: CA - $1,310,032,549 DC - $2,114,628 IL - $29,778,645 WA - $2,367,194 CO - $1,506,743 OR - $5,404,368 We notified the states, and many have begun refunding the money. But what if we had never asked? Whether willful or not, the states’ conduct highlights a terrifying reality: American taxpayers have been footing the bill for illegal immigrants’ Medicaid coverage, despite many Democrats and the media insisting otherwise. Democrats are demanding the repeal of the President’s Working Families Tax Cuts legislation in order for their votes to reopen the government. This law wisely strengthened our ability to limit federal dollars from being spent on health care for illegal immigrants. Until Democrats explicitly drop that demand, they’re blatantly holding the government hostage over giving Medicaid to illegal immigrants. -

How will the SNAP or EBT November Crisis affect YOU?

How will the SNAP or EBT November Crisis affect YOU?

As a white man, I don’t believe they can be racist jokes when Peenie specifically told me multiple times that it was white people who were the huge majority on these benefits. Take it up with her while I live in reality. -
I was trying to illuminate that focusing on the percentage breakdown of immigrants receiving SNAP, the way it’s presented, is the same way they do with black Americans. I was pointing out that the way they give the statistics about immigrants shifts the focus of the reality. Very few immigrants make up the total of those receiving SNAP. But instead they say, 25% of immigrants receive SNAP, to make it seem like a big number. If you say the truth, if you give the facts correctly, it sounds like this: 1% of SNAP recipients are immigrants. You see how that stat is less tragic than 25% of immigrants receive SNAP.? Okay, I’ve beat the point into the ground. Thanks for giving it your attention. Bowing out now.
-
But why is the second stat needed? This was my point about the chart about immigrants receiving SNAP and how this framing is also done when discussing the inmate population. Why the jump from the demographics of SNAP recipients do we then go to the population of that particular group in the United States? What is the purpose, other than to make the impact lessen the reality or switch the topic away from the fact that whites are the majority. Explain the purpose of the second stat….

Fetterman defends Trump's 'tasteful' $200M White House ballroom makeover

Litards gonna libtard. https://www.outkick.com/sports/cnn-blames-right-wing-backlash-cracker-barrel-logo-flip-flop-reality-says-otherwise CNN is always going to CNN There's a lot that can be said about CNN these days, but here's one thing that can't be denied: the network usually delivers what you expect. By this I mean the takes that seem to ignore reality or could just be outright falsehoods, and this was the case with how CNN covered the news that Cracker Barrel is dumping its wildly unpopular new logo in favor of the original logo with the "old-timer" that everyone liked. How did CNN go about reporting this news? By saying that the change came "after right-wing backlash." Do those guys live in a windowless room with no access to outside communication? Do they live lives outside of the newsroom with real people? Because that's not what happened at all. Sure, I think you'd find near universal condemnation of the change from conservatives, but do you know who else hated it? Democrats. How do I know this? Because they said so. This is one of those times you see just how jaw-droppingly bad CNN can be. You've got kind of a who-cares fluff story considering wars are going on around the globe, and yet they muffed this one like a rookie punt returner in the rain. The fact that the move was reviled by people across the political spectrum was one of the biggest talking points about it. Everyone was joking that the fact that liberals and conservatives all agreed that the change was terrible was the ultimate sign that the company had really messed up. Anyone who understood why people liked Cracker Barrel hated that logo. No one wants "fresh and cutting edge" from Cracker Barrel. You go there for southern food, gunky souvenirs, and to pee when you're on a road trip. But CNN, for whatever reason, can't help itself when it comes to taking shots at conservatives, even when it effectively makes its story factually inaccurate. It wasn't "Right-wing backlash," it was "universal backlash." CNN continues to exhibit TDS at its finest. -

If you're getting your player back, I'm not going to punish you too much. That's why I had Washington hanging around the mid-high mark for a while and I expect them to move back up again. I'd been doing that with SF too but I've had to accept reality with them, this is not a team that is going to get healthy later. This would be a top team, should be, now I see them as a mid tier one. The whole of the AFC North looked like solid teams when the year started, that division has been losing players faster than anyone else. Baltimore can rebound, maybe, Lamar is godly after all and he's coming back maybe this week, but that defense will have to show some life.

Republicans introduce amendment so trump can get third term
jerryskids replied to TrailGuy's topic in The Geek Club
Bannon, huh? The guy Trump fired back in 2017. Seems he wants to become relevant again more than anything. Anyway, I found and watched the video of his interview with the BBC, just a brief clip. The idea that there is some secret cabal who views Trump as a heaven-sent instrument to implement I presume Project 2025 or some such, and will find some machination to get Trump back into office in 2028, sounds more like a David Baldacci novel than reality. But, it's not completely implausible. After all, nobody knows who really ran the country during Biden's term. So I will agree that there is a non-zero chance, and all you moderates can continue your sky screaming with my blessing. -

They also assured us that Trump had no knowledge of or involvement with P2025 and wouldn't enact any of it even if he did, have gone from revulsion to acceptance to defense of J6, have zero clue about the crypto bribery schemes Don's launched or how he's fully dismantled our ability to counter corruption within government and ordered DOJ lawyers to lie in court on his behalf, refuse to acknowledge the terror campaign being perpetrated by ICE, claimed tariffs were just a negotiating tactic, repositioned from rabid demand to release all the Epstein files into supporting the end of the investigation and burial of evidence, refuse to believe that the Don lost in 2020, and still think he GAF about something other than himself. MAGA is so beholden to right wing media that they have become unreliable judges of political reality. I am seeing this first hand in my life. A lot of their support of Trump is based almost entirely on deception perpetrated by their information sources. -
You know, this is what society does to you people, they use percentages of the population of a specific demographic to skew the reality of who receives government benefits. SIR, I DON’T CARE WHAT STATISTICS YOU SHOW, THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT WHITE PEOPLE ARE THE LARGEST SEGMENT RECEIVING FOOD STAMPS AND WELFARE. PERIOD AND POINT BLANK. If there are 100 refugees from Qatar here and 25 of them receive SNAP, the graph will say 25% of Qataris receive SNAP. If you use that same logic then only 10% of the white population receive SNAP, but there are 200 million of you all!! Don’t hit me with the percentage of the individual population, that’s soothing your soul and a false way to look at the facts. WHITES ARE THE ONES MOSTLY GETTING FOOD STAMPS AND WELFARE, PERIOD!!!!!!! You won’t have to wonder after November 1st.

That's fine. But you've admitted even you only think there's a 3% chance of Trump trying for a third term. Given your bias the reality is likely much lower. It's not even worth arguing over a 3% difference of opinion. You've pretty much made my point. -

You would be my choice to hold the cash but no odds. What a poosey move. They think he's gonna be a dictator until you call them out them they admit they really only think it's a 3% chance. And that's through TDS colored glasses. The reality is it's still 0. -
The other way illegals get food stamps is when they sneak across the border but then when they are caught yell asylum. They then are elligible. Once their asylum claim is lost, they appeal. Then appeal. Then do lots more legal maneuvering and get to stay for many many years before losing their 19th version of the claim. All the while collecting SNAP. Then there is a lag before they are officially deemed inelligible for benefits. These people were in reality illegal aliens the whole time with fake asylum claims collecting benefits.
