"Reversible" is incorrect. The drugs work for the time they are used. If puberty blockers are used for 2 years, you cannot get that time back. You can stop taking them and whatever is left of your pubescence process will continue, but whatever you've lost in development for those two years is lost forever. So if you are a man, you might have a tiny/micropenis, tiny testicles which generate no sperm or testosterone, etc. The trans community intentionally obfuscates this to make it sound better than it is. -

Social media is certainly part of the problem. I hate it. But the other part, which you deny, is the hatred against Latinos being nurtured by Donald Trump in his rhetoric about undocumented immigrants. I had to look up who Riley Gaines was. Such stories don’t interest me. I don’t believe that biological males should compete in girls sports but it’s such a minor issue that I tend to ignore the headlines about it. iMO the only reason that most conservatives make a big deal about it is so they can continue their obsessive anti-trans harassment which is pretty ugly. Even so if she’s been threatened that’s wrong. -

Thanks Tim, I appreciate the good discussion. I find your link to be completely in sync with my "claim" or position. I feel like I've been consistent with it and stated it multiple times, but in the interest of further good discussion, I'll repeat it yet again. I believe that gender dysphoria exists, but is very rare. Until recently, remedies like hormones or surgery were reserved for extreme, severe cases. What changed is that it has become a social contagion, enabled by the psychiatric community. Every single country in your link, every one, is in some stage of increasing restrictions, limiting care to extreme cases, requiring multidisciplinary teams to diagnose cases, etc. One of many examples: You refuse to even consider the existence of this contagion, and the associated lack of rigor by the medical community. Yet if you read your link through this lens, it is clear that that is exactly what is being addressed. Perhaps stated another way: if you do not believe it, then what issue do you think they are addressing with these restrictions? If we could revert to a time where such rigor was implemented, I would be much more open to discussion of medical intervention for minors in extreme cases. Or in other words, deferring to the experts. But when those "experts" think such interventions are needed for anyone who feels trans, I will consider them idiot quacks who are caught up in a social movement, not experts. HTH -

"Long term goals are to ban same sex marriage (never should have been legalized) and trans will be illegal. Yes illegal. I will also exile all Jews." According to the local Boston outlet Universal Hub, Kauffman, who is from Dorchester and running in the First Suffolk District in the RSC, "divides her love between Kanye West and Hitler ... and blames a Covid-19 shot for giving her stage-4 brain cancer." She has posted a meme of herself holding a pay phone with the words, "Hi, Hitler? It's 2024 here and we're requesting your assistance." Rink -

Your last sentence assumes that a teenager can be indoctrinated into become trans, that it’s not normal, and that one cans be talked out of it later with proper mental health care. All three of these assumptions are refuted by the vast majority of medical experts. Yet you and so many others continue to believe this. -

As for pronouns, the politically correct Inquisitors would have us believe that one's pronouns belong to themselves alone. That has never been true. Pronouns belong to all of us collectively. You do not have a right to control my language, my perceptions. Get over it. Whether I choose to share your delusion is up to me and threats of some unknown trans violence cannot and will not change that. If a person believes they tend towards one of the two gender dichotomies different from their sex that's fine, I don't care. If you want to be a feminine male go for it. You will never be a woman, but go on and be your idea of feminine. Just know that your affectations of your ideas are often insulting and degrding sterotypes of the actual feminine . Those that do so are a mockery of the real thing. -
If you call yourself GAYS AGAINST GROOMERS, one would expect that (you know) some actual gay people might belong to this group (but they don't claim that or least have not identified any members as openly gay to my knowledge). The organization's name is to mislead people into thinking that these are LGBTQ folks who are as upset about trans folks as those on the far right are, so as to falsely give this organization some sort of credibility.

So much wrong with this post. We seem destined to NOT learn from Europe, and follow through with mutilating people who are not trans. As I said here recently: when we eventually have this epiphany, and make no mistake, it will come, folks like you and squistion will smile dopily and say "oh well, our hearts were in the right place." And I don't doubt that. But that is the insidious nature of liberal positions. -

Trans is another issue where conservatives rely on fear and disgust. There have been transsexuals among us since time began. The difference now is that we have technology to help them (treatments, gender affirming surgery) and that parts of our society accept them better, so this makes the numbers appear larger especially among youths. The numbers are not larger, they are simply no longer hidden. It’s not a mental illness, the REJECTION by parts of our society creates depression and mental illness. The solution to depression and mental illness is to let these folks, including teenagers, do as they wish, including surgery, and accept them, treat them as they wish to be treated. If we as a society can do this the suicides will stop. These folks don’t hurt you, treat them with love and understanding and you’ll be surprised how much better your life becomes, seriously. -
