ratbastard1 0 Posted March 30, 2006 Glory Bound- Martin Sexton You have to be kidding me? I'm a big fan. (are you Matt?) Live Wide Open is a GREAT CD! Saw him live once and recommend to anyone, any age. My favorite song of all time? Probably Limelight by Rush, but there are so many. My favorite song right now is probably: Michael Franti Bomb The World (Armageddon Version) Check it out: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000AQS0...boutThisProduct To the Van Morrison lovers out there; Brown Eyed Girl was only available as an import until the Born on the 4th of July soundtrack and then later Greatest hits. The CD was finally released in US not too long ago. It's called TB Sheets and its a cool CD with the title track being very special. Nights in White Satin - The Moody Blues Days of Future Past is one of my favorite CDs of all time.
Apu Nahasapeemapetilon 0 Posted March 30, 2006 OneMetallica Metallica rocks, and I'm an old guy. As for their music, I have to go with Fade to Black as my favorite. Great tune.

Electric Mayhem 35 Posted March 30, 2006 Just one song? Almost un-possible, but I GUESS I'd have to go with Sweet Emotion. Runners up: Metallica - Enter Sandman (that song just f'in kicks so much ass, even after being completely overplayed) Van Hagar - 5150 AC/DC - Back in Black
ilovemustachios 0 Posted March 30, 2006 So something can't be good and popular? Toro, For the sake of arguement let's say your favorite song of all time is "My Collar is Popped" by The Tight Blazer's. Then some scenster movie comes out where some popular actress makes the lead character listen to the song on her headphones... thus forcing about 100 billion turds, douchebags and OC watching preteens to automatically assume that "My Collar is Popped" is something that they must call their favorite song of all time, even though they heard the first 20 seconds once. Then they go to the mall and instead of buying the entire Tight Blaser's CD (which you know happens to be a fantastic album) they buy the songtrack to the focking movie. Then you must overhear every one of them say, man I love The Tight Blazers....they are so different Now everytime you say you like that band this is the crap you have to deal with. I think that might bug you a little.

It shouldn't matter if people aren't as an "in-depth" fan of music as you are. You don't have to know that Jimi Hendrix died from an overdose to enjoy All Along the Watchtower. Instead of getting pissed off, why not share your far superior musical tastes with them by suggesting some additional songs by the Tight Blazers. Just a side note. When I first heard Behind Blue Eyes by Limp Bizkit, I thought that song was awesome. It was a few months later that I realized that the Who did it first. I like the Limp Bizkit version better. Does it matter?

Actually, when I hear something new and I like it, I like to share it with everyone. The joys of sharing your music is like sharing a glimpse into your soul. Music stirs the heart and inspires. To share that which inspires you and stirs your heart is much like sharing your true self. Just because someone else doesn't appreciate something to the depth that I do, doesn't make me love it any less.

rallo 136 Posted April 3, 2006 Just a side note. When I first heard Behind Blue Eyes by Limp Bizkit, I thought that song was awesome. It was a few months later that I realized that the Who did it first. I like the Limp Bizkit version better. Does it matter? IMO limp bizkit totally focked that song over... they cut out the best part. How can you do behind blue eyes without playin the rock out part with the sweet guitar "... if i swallow anything evil, put your finger down my throat" Horrible remake of an awesome song. I figured out the only reason i liked limp bizkit ever was because i was an impressionable 8th grader and the only other thing to listen to (or so i thought) was the backstreet boys. Hopefully limp bizkit can't ruin another song and make the radio waves.

zen 0 Posted April 3, 2006 Someone mentioned 2112 - Rush. That's a good one. But even though I don't necessarily "rock out" to it, my favorite would have to be something by Dillon. He's just too damn good.
