JackARoot 2 Posted September 16, 2010 Right now my favorite country song ins Pancho and Lefty. One of my wife's relatives plays in a folk band up in Michigan and he gave us a cd. This song came on and although I didn't specifically remember it, it was kind of in my subconcious. My parents used to listen to alot of country in the early 80's, so I'm sure that's when it got programmed in my head. That's when Willie and Merle's cover of it hit #1. I googled it and found a really nice video of Emmylou covering it (it was originally written and recorded by Townes Van Zandt) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMPydiR4NaQ

CantTouchThis 23 Posted September 16, 2010  Also second "One" by Metallica. Yes, even over master. And, c'mon guys, Stairway is not only the best Zep song, it's what i like to call the "consensus best song ever" or "the only song that could possibly be named consensus best song ever". I know it's not as cool as stating a slightly more obscure song, but Stairway should be atop everyone's list as best Zep song, really best hard-rock song. kilroy69 1,273 Posted September 19, 2010 A Pirate Looks At Forty - Jimmy Buffett "I made enough money to buy Miami, but I pissed it away so fast..." Song becomes more significant to me every day, I still got a couple of years, but 40's within sight A fellow Parrot Head? Nice. My first real concert was Buffett. Was fantastic. People LITERALLY breaking weed out everywhere and no one said a word to anyone about it. Beach balls by the focking dozens. Thats my theme song but my part is I go for younger women, Lived with several awhile, And though I ran away, They'll come back one day. And still I can manage a smile It just takes awhile I would say http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3px0m1Y9Tuc
