So..I was playing basketball tonight and possible broke my foot

Recommended Posts

Holy shat dude, that sucks.

I did that before playing tennis except it was closer to my ankle than my foot and I was laid up for weeks because of it.

Did you have to have someone help carry you off too? :dunno:

I'm going to the doc in the morning, but

Pretty funky looking, huh? :dunno:

(It doesn't hurt as bad as it looks, although all the neighborhood moms want me to go to E.R. tonight)

Uh those moms must work in the ER on commission cuz no one goes to the ER for a swollen ankle from a sport injury. Doc office the next day is fine if the swelling doesn't go down. If it was broken, you'd be in some serious tears.

Actually, the swelling is starting to go down a bit :dunno:

Soft cast is like a wrap around your ankle. Do it yourself unless you see swelling increase and/or starts hurting worse. Pain and swelling should go down not up for a non-emergent ankle injury.

It's a greta excuse to get BJ's for a while instead of having to do all the work. One must make the best of opportunites that are presented in life.

Ouch. Hope it's not really messed up. On the plus side, your foot (so i assume, feet) actually look neater.

I once screwed up my ankle playing basketball. I was a busboy, went to work, and hobbled around for 6 straight days. I finally went to the doctor, and it turns out it was broken.

Spraining your ankle won't make you stop walking like a tard.

Dr. Thorshammer says:

ice for 15 mins, then rotate your foot in a figure 8 pattern, then repeat 3 times.

For a faster cure, get a 5 gal. bucket, fill with ice then add water, put a long sock on that foot, stick it in the bucket and scream like hell for the first 8 minutes. Keep it in the bucket for 13 mins....out for 10, then repeat 3 times.

I was a high school football coach for 5+ years, saw quite a few of those nasty boo-boos. The ice bucket treatment hurts like hell but works like gold....."GOLD Jerry, GOLD!!!!"

Broken bones should be tended to ASAP as they are much easier to set. So the good news is: if it is broken, and you sat around typing on the internets instead of going to urgent care, you can take your sweet time now, 'cause there isn't much they can do at this point. :dunno:

I think when you have the fetus removed from your foot, you'll notice that hump will go down considerably. :(
