I've been watching football since I was ten, fanatically since I was twenty, and in those 21 years since I've been following it hardcore, I don't think I've ever seen a team like this year's Patriots. Whenever a team goes undefeated for a time, the talk starts about going undefeated for the whole year, but you never really think it could happen. I don't see how it can't happen with these guys. They make the best teams in the NFL look like punks.

The Cowboys obviously seemed to think they would have a chance, albeit a small one, if they could force a turnover. The Patriots gave them that chance by running it with their worst RB repeatedly into Dallas' defense. If the Pats really wanted to stick it to the Cowboys, they could've had Brady pass it to one of his receivers for a TD on that final drive instead of running 4 consecutive runnings plays. And I can promise you it wouldn't have taken them a minute and a half and 4 downs to do it. Kudos to Kyle Eckel, who served in the Navy and got his first career TD in 3 years as a professional football player. That really shouldn't bother anybody and if it does then stop being a pussy.

 

If you want to give a lecture about "class" , pass the memo to Wade Phillips as well. He ran his mouth when the Chargers beat the Patriots at Gillette in 2005.
