How did TJAX look this weekend? What were his passing stats?

EDIT: Just looked them up, not bad for him. But 3 fumbles with 2 lost? What happened?

Well, let the Superbowl talk rekindle. As some of you may already know, the same crew that officiated the Seattle Pittsburgh debacle of a Superbowl will be officiating the game this week. Irony? Coincidence? Tearing off scar tissue?

Well, we do have Bill Leavy on the record as apologizing for the calls made during the Superbowl, how he blew it, and apologized to Seahawk fans. Will the media give this apology from a year ago any mention? Nope. Because you can't report on the facts of an NFL game being fixed.

Still crying about the SB loss? What are you....2 years old? I guess there is no choice when the rest of the history of this God awful franchise is just terrible.

jgcrawfish's thoughts to live by...Always judge a book by its cover. Go ahead and rush to conclusions. Appearances are never deceiving. First impression is forever. Judge a man by the color of his skin. There is no point to seeing the whole picture. Why would anyone ever need to dig beneath the surface? Eyes never play tricks on you. Turnovers in football are predictable and planned.

The spread makers in Vegas study the numbers and stats. They don't look at a scoreboard and call the Bears a top 3 team. Because they have to be right. Pundits on TV have to make controversial statements and entertain while angering. Also, using numbers is more of an accurate predictor of future results than using a final score only.

Stop being a lazy thinker.

Are you really this stupid? Could you be more obtuse? I could really give a crap what the pundits say, I'm not the dumbass that stated there wasn't any hype around Atlanta then got their ass handed to them in a simple search of the nets. No, turnovers are neither predictable nor planned but can be coached, and again, there's no bigger indicator or correlation to wins and losses than turnover ratio. I'm done trying to talk logically to a degenerate gambler who prances around proclaiming he knows all because he's a "data analyst". Being a gambler ≠ being a data analyst regardless of how you delude yourself or justify it.

Hey retard - turnovers happen because some defenses apply pressure on QBs, have DBs that can int or cause fumbles etc. Charles Tillman has caused 25 fumbles in his career. That is not luck... it is skill. Brian Urlacher made the defensive play of the week with his int. The fumbled return for a TD happened because Julius Peppers (a HOF DE) sacked Ryan causing the fumble. Ryan was sacked 5 times and hit 7 more times in the game. He was harassed all day because there is talent on the Bears D...not because it is just pure luck. I know you are frankly too retarded to understand any of that. I do not blame you, your cesspool of a franchise plays zero defense. That is why they get spanked every week. Enjoy the shiattiest team in the shiattiest division in all of sports. :overhead:

Stick to talking about AIDS and making love to small kids and getting focked in the azz. That is all you are capable of. You have zero sense of reality so keep up with the tough internet guy image because you cannot handle how your team is so bad.

Undoubtedly!

No it didn't.

Ryan was not touched...he was escaping pressure when he put the ball on the ground himself.

Did you even watch the game?

Peppers did have pressure on Ryan which made him turn and drop the ball. It was not a clean pocket. And Peppers was credited with a sack for the play like he should have. See link below.

===============

From NFL.com:

Urlacher picked off Ryan to set up an early 56-yard touchdown catch by Matt Forte, and in the third quarter the linebacker picked up a fumble by Ryan and scored from 12 yards out to make it 30-6. That came on one of two sacks by Julius Peppers. Henry Melton also had two sacks and the Bears got to Ryan five times in all.

Yes...I did.

I saw Ryan escaping pressure, stumble...and put the hand with the ball in it to the turf, causing the ball to come out.

Its rule a sack...but it was not a fumble caused by a hit.

He was untouched.

Watch the play, not read the clip. I doubt you actually watched it since the best you could do was quote the recap.

And not shocked that Sweetness ignored this reply.

BTW...for those bashing Atlanta...they lost their first game last year to Pitt 9-15.

I hope that didn't include me. I respect them as a playoff contender. I just haven't heard much chatter about them since their dramatic overpaying trade for Julio Jones. The Eagles, Packers, and Lions are the NFC teams that have gotten a lot of preseason attention as far as I can tell.

I think the Bears have an excellent chance of finishing in last place in their division this year. When your defense is giving up yards by the acres, they won't get enough turnovers to offset the damage. Turnovers are mostly random. While it is true that some teams can get lucky and stay +10 turnover or more for an entire season, over a period of weeks, and sometimes years, turnovers tend to average out. And when you have a wussy turnover machine like Jay Cutler at QB, well, that is sure hurt the balance.

Tom Hanks is getting ready to star in a sequel to Philadelphia. It will be called Chicago. He will star as a former football player, kid touching, effeminate, AIDS patient named Palter Wayton.

You're here aren't you? This seems to be the place to be.

The prospect of having Andrew Luck behind a young but experienced line throwing to a deep cast of receivers is pretty exciting. As long as I look at things in the long-term I can handle the rocky present.

Also, I love how some fantasy sites are touting the 49ers D as something to be scared of. The @ssholes at ESPN are projecting Felix Jones for 7 points, and even went so far as to compare San Fran's D to the Jets. I can't wait to hear how rejuvenated Pittsburgh is after this week too.

Seriously, start a focking Bears thread. You guys can discuss Jay Cutler and the genius minds of Lovie Smith, Tim Ruskell and Mike Martz there.

Huge win over the Falcons plus you play in a pretty interesting division and still half the FFToday Bears fanbase is hanging out in a Seahawks thread.

Bill leavy is the head ref for the steelers-seahawks game this week.

Even if the seahawks are the better team on Sunday they still have no chance of winning.

The percentage and totals looked ok but for the first 3 quarters all of his passes were to the RB and most of them behind the line of scrimmage. He showed life in the late 3rd and 4th with a couple decent drives.

The O-line is still brutal, although the 49ers defense is pretty good too. For most of the day the 49ers were beating the snap into the backfield it was painful to watch.

Of course I watched the game. Again, it was not a hit and fumble I understand. But there was pressure from Peppers. Peppers beat his man 1:1....that is a skill that led to Ryan not setting his feet and fumbling the ball when he touched the ball to the ground. The Bears DL applied pressure all day on Ryan. That is not luck. That is turnovers thanks to skill. Some teams have it....most do not.

Brian Urlacher named defensive player of the week. Someone stop filthybear from jumping off the ledge....on second thoughts, let him go. He can stop being a degenerate gambler with no life and stop obsessing over AIDS and making love to children that way.

Thanks for proving my point that he was escaping pressure. Fumbles do not just happen. They happen when you hit the QB a lot of times and pressure him all game, including the play in question. Ryan saw Peppers coming at him clean and he had to turn....lost control of the ball while trying to do that. That is not luck. You need a player who can cause that to happen.

Hey look - the poosays from seattle getting PWNED by the Monsters of the Midway. What a one sided beat down that was.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tURFXX4hOXc

Are you really bragging about that? Sad thing is this was the biggest Chicago win since Lovie rested the 2006 season on Rex Grossman's shoulders.

What happened the week after?

This :bench: Good to see Jay is fully recovered from that grisly knee injury he suffered back in January.
