***Cutler Breaks Thumb On Throwing Hand***

Recommended Posts

######, I own Forte in 2 leagues. Not what I wanted to hear.

'Both ESPN Chicago and the Chicago Sun Times report that Jay Cutler's fractured right (throwing) thumb may end his season.

Per the Sun Times' Sean Jensen, "there is a fear" that Cutler may not play again this year, but "there will be more tests." ESPN Chicago's Mike Wright is "hearing" that there is "a chance" this could be it for Cutler's 2011 season. Wright also reports that Cutler will require surgery, so this is clearly a more significant thumb break than Ben Roethlisberger's. Caleb Hanie would take over as the Bears' starter, much to Mike Martz's chagrin.'

chi link says 6-8 weeks. not looking good:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/chi-cutler-suffers-broken-thumb-on-throwing-hand-20111120,0,3721060.story

i don't wish injury on anyone--but no one shed a tear when stafford went down last year. or both starting rbs for detroit this year. normal bear fans, i feel your pain...but the bear fans who had a laugh about "glassford" can officially go fock themselves. sorry. karma's a stern mistress.

they'll rely on forte even more now.

And people ask my why I carry 4 Quarterbacks. I have Vick, Cutler, Hasselback, and Tebow and all of them are hurt except Tebow so I might be forced to play Tebow next week, which I probably should anyway the way Vick has played lately.

I lost Schaub and it looks like Hasselbeck too - Tebow is the only healthy QB on my roster.

As a Packer and Favre hater, I would...actually love this! :) I think Favre would love to stick it to the Packers! No way Hanie has what it takes to advance the Bears into the palyoffs.

Lions win a game...Bears lose Cutler and swamp is back to talking smack.

Cutler did not need that 5 TDs in a game to lay the smack down against the Lions.

See his crap and crying shining through in this thread as usual.

Neither does Favre.

Caleb Hanie? Wow. Does anyone have Daunte Culpepper's phone number? That flushing sound is the value of any Bears receiver (not that they had much anyway). Matt Forte can expect 8-man fronts for the rest of the year.

Bears live press conference and the only mention of an injury Lovie mentions is to the long snapper Patrick Mannaly. The fact Jay played the rest of the game with the injury pretty much puts this rumor to rest! Favre can stay retired for now! :)

ESPN Radio just reported that Cutler is out for at least the regular season because of a broken thumb on his throwing hand.

I'm just saying what I saw live, and it wasn't even asked by any reporters...seems strange. I personally don't think it's an issue, more like ESPN trying to report something that's not true...go figure! :shocking:

ESPN says they have sources, the Chicago Tribune says they have multiple sources...I guess it isn't official until the Bears confirm it but I'd be surprised if it ended up being nothing.

Although if the Bears can remain around .500, I can still hold out hope that he'll be ready to go come playoff time.

Yeah.... he was a real Droopy Dog :( for a week after that anal rape da Bears put on his Kittens.... Glad to see a key injury to another team has got him back and excited....

I don't know anybody who cheers more for injuries than his own team like he does..

DroopDog: Why doesn't Stafford loan his 5 TD glove to himself next time he gets stomped by the bears

TDs to the other team don't count :pointstosky:

Seems strange that it was like hush, hush on the news channels last night...I flipped around and no one mentioned it, Cutler even finished the game. Lovie finally acknowledged it this morning but wouldn't say much, except that Cutler is seeing a hand specialist today, probably out at least 6-weeks. Thumbs down!!!

Looks like that firms up the choice to have Flynn backing up Rodgers on my team.

i'd advise you to pick him up BEFORE the detroit game, not after

it's going to be too late to wait if rodgers goes down.

every major internet page and every national sports media channel blabbed about it all night. maybe you should get out a bit more? :dunno:

no, but the 25 (and counting) he's thrown to his own teammates do

look what the cat dragged in. go bump that thread, fockstick. and while you're at it, go google who the last 23-year-old qb was who threw 25+ tds (and counting). a hint: it wasn't shooter mcgavin :overhead:

it warms my heart to see don and sho teabagging on cutler in this thread :music_guitarred:

they're even scared shiatless about the shoe dropping in green bay so much they don't even show up when the packers routinely eek out wins at home anymore and hemorrhage yardage like they were going out of style.

don't worry: i'm sure shooter mcgavin has a few more good fantasy games in him before he and the team chokes this gaudy record and stats away

I generally don't come in and post during games.

Scared shiatless about what?

10-0...defending champs.

Best QB in the league who is miles ahead of your latest dear sweet love of Stafford.

But just as don and I said...one win and you are back to the smack talking injury wishing self...the same POS we all know.

Will Thursday put the nail in the coffin though if GB wins? After all the crap you talked...will that be time to "tuck in your son"?

go bump an old lions thread, fockstick, like you and douche #2 always do. i'd tell you to tuck in your d!ck--but youz need one to do that. instead restuff2 your tampon and shoo.

the lions aren't going to win the division, so a loss on turkey day won't matter in that regard. they're fighting for a wildcard. a win would help that. a loss makes it tougher. i said last week: win against carolina and take 1 of 2 coming up against the packers and saints. that's the story in a nutshell. nobody outside of green bay gives a flying shiat about the packers.
