Question for bored women

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering if mans job had any impact of how you view him/does it turn you on?

For instance, a good looking guy that works a construction type job. Hes not filthy but is obviously a blue collar guy. Does that make him any more appealing?

Or does a white collar well dressed man make him more appealing?

Or it doesnt matter if they are a janitor/bus driver, as long as they are attractive it doesnt matter.

I was with one chick in particular that found me attractive while wearing my work clothes. Ibdidnt realize that was the main attraction until i met her while all cleaned up and dressed nice. She was visibly disappointed i wasnt wearing my work clothes and even said "oh, i thought you were going to be in your work clothes."

Admit it: the "chick" was a dude and you were dressed like the construction worker from the Village People.

I had a girl that used to write me dirty letters / notes saying how she was incredibly turned on watching me get greasy. :D

Good fock, but went straight ass crazy when the realized she wasn't the only one I was playing "hide the monkey wrench" with.

Ran into my car (on purpose) just so she could talk to me again. Used to stop by my work every night around 4:30 or so and leave a Coors Light and a rose on the hood of my car.

How could you tell the difference between those and your hood ornament?

Truth be told, her and gypsy kinda had something going on but he went away to boot camp and I was all she had left or something.

Actually put a big hurt on gypsys and my friendship for awhile.

So yes, I was a total toolbag in that context. :(

to answer seriouly, I've had this conversation many times. You know it to be true:

Guy to Guy:

"Hey, I met a girl, we've been on a few dates".

"Cool man, Is she hot? She's not crazy? Do you like her"

"Nah man, she's cool, I really like her."

Chick to broad:

"I met a new boy!"

"Good for you girl! What does he DO?"

"He's a Dentist."

"OOOOOOH! I'm soo happy for you!"

I've confronted so many of my gyno-Amurican friends on this and at the end of the day, they almost always say "Well... Security is important to a woman...."

And I'll sure as fock guarantee they ain't talking about whether he owns a gun or not. Like Mungwater said earlier: Guys look to see hot hot a girl is that you're dating, girls look to see how much they can brag to their girlfriends about how much money a guy brings in to their relationship. Old school? Sure. Makes it any less true? Not at all.

Yeah, I've met some chicks and after a date or two, gone out with some of her friends and the first thing out of her friends mouths will be - "so, you are the doctor."

It's kind of a turnoff but that's not to say I won't fock her a few times before I ditch her.

The out of the gate "what does he do?" emphasis puts me off too. I don't have a crew of upwardly mobile female friends so I've just seen that play out on TV, but it makes me not lament that I don't have a crew of friends like that.

When you know all your value to him is in your looks, and you're harnessing that, then I guess it wouldn't seem like an out-of-balance approach. It matters foremost. You're both cold.

Personally, the simplest answer to this question is no. Some external variables can enhance sex appeal, but they don't create it. There has to be that foundation first, the guy himself has sex appeal.

I used to be positioned toward dating white collar guys (not intentionally, just made more sense life circumstances wise) but I've been exposed to more guys with construction stuff in their work history in the last couple years. It's not a necessity for attraction now, but it's really attractive when a guy has intuitive mechanical understanding. I can teach myself things in that arena, but it doesn't come naturally.

It doesn't matter what he's wearing, having that kind of intelligence will make me more attracted. Just the suggestion (clothes you would wear in those types of jobs) doesn't do it for me though.

Maybe the woman you met has a fetish...like a guy who likes the Japanese school girl look meeting up with a Japanese girl not wearing the school clothes. A guy who met an upscale maid while in the traditional outfit meeting up with her later in her off-time clothes.

I am generally a sucker for the buttoned down shirt with rolled up sleeves look though. Dress vests in formal situations.

The only time what he does is sort of a factor in this sense if if I like a guy and there's elements of danger to his job. That taps into a Florence Nightingale side of me (a handicap). A maternal/madonna thing that conflates itself with increasing attraction.

I think it happens a lot when a subset of women talk amongst themselves, and there are quite a few people (both genders) with doctor awe. As soon as one of them finds out what you do, they treat you differently. It's annoying and uncomfortable, to the point where I usually will not volunteer my profession or say something vague like I work in the medical field - but then you come off pretentious. Recall I did that here until you called me out. Then again, it seems most geeks think doctors are pretty slimy, corrupt lowlifes...

All that being said, the superficiality of valuing earning potential/job stability makes a lot more sense than physical beauty.

You're confusing doctors with pretend lawyers.

I was once on a date with a girl who knew what I did. She went out of her way to explain "my mama always told me lawyers are a dime a dozen. She wanted me to go after doctors." It's true, and I got a kick out of it.

Date didn't go anywhere though. :dunno:

Honestly a man with good work ethic and ambition is what matters. Although at the same time, he's gotta have a good personality, sense of humor, HUGE cack, etc. I guess if I am that much into a guy, the job may not matter.

But, my HS boyfriend was fired from a great job with a large telecommunications company and got a job at a 7-11. I was. Little bummed, but moresp that he had no ambition to go to school and become something better.

If you are that much into a guy is the massive cack still a requirement?
